Pip boy collection

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 1:36 pm

I have been looking foward to pre ordering the Pip Boy collection since I've heard of it but it has not been released in stores, only online. I didn't have the funds to fully pay for it online like others, i planned on pre ordering in the store. But of course it gets sold out before it can reach the stores. I don't think it's fair that that should happen like that. I'm sure there are alot of others that are in the same situation. We didn't have a chance in pre ordering whatsoever! Im really bummed cause i wanted that collection but like i said, i didnt have a chance. So i, and hopefully alot of others would like for more to be made so we can enjoy the collection as well.

Aren't there any online stores where you can pay after delivery?

In the Netherlands I ordered it a big online retailer who accepts paying after it's been delivered.

Plus, there's also a local retailer where I can pay a tiny sum up front. I pay let's say 20 euros and when the game is released, they hold back the pip-boy edition I pre-ordered and when I come to pick it up, the rest of the price is paid.

That is a tad annoying, I'm not sure what to suggest however.

I just managed to get mine I was awake at 3am and thought I might as well waste my pay check just incase two hours later sold out, with this much demand they're going to have to make more copies.

Gamestop and Amazon are all sold out. Hopefully they realize the demand is there and get more lined up for pre-order.

Agreed, I hope they make enough to thwart the scalpers on ebay selling them for 250-350 dollars now.

I doubt they would, time scale is well enough for a batch order i suppose, but it devalues the "collection"...

They won't as it'll devalue it's collectable value. Plus honestly snooze you lose. every popular game is like this and we should all know better, once they announced that Pip Boy everybody should have Amazon and GameStop open refreshing that button

Only took one day for most retailers to sell out so its pretty easy for most people too lose I mean you'd think at least 1-2 weeks that way everyone gets at least one pay cycle. Oh well hopefully they'll produce another batch or two.

Companies generally could careless about collect-ability value, they care more about the profit margins on selling more units. Judging by all the ones listed for 250-350 that are sold out on ebay shows Bethesda could have charged a lot more. I have never experienced a problem with securing a pre-order CE Beth game (even Skyrim) until now, if they don't become available I am done with Bethesda CE's.

Unless it comes with a flashlight that can light up everything around me, a fully working Geiger meter and a real radio station broadcasting music from the 40s and 50s including the rants of Three-Dog, I′m not interested :P

I managed to snag one last night off the Bethesda Store, the site was on maintenance for a few hours, but I somehow managed to buy one during the middle of it.

Well, it looks like people ignored the Bethesda store, cause there were still some Pip-Boys left about 16 hours ago

Ehhh it didn't really occur to me plus I don't know how the Bethesda store goes with shipping to Australia so I just went local even through it cost me a weeks wage (guess who's eating two minute noodles for the entire week)

Oh well glad I bought one right after it was released on Amazon. My family was telling me "Oh get it next week it will be there!"

Better to be paranoid than right, I guess? Lol...

I bought one early early this morning also from Bethesda Store. I was way bummed that GameStop, Best Buy, and Amazon sold out so quick. I saw that Bethesda was down for maintenance and happened to try again an hour later. I was happy to see money withdrawn from my account when I hit the complete purchase button!
Is there a chance they'll come back and say that there was an error, they're really sold out? I've never bought anything from Bethesda Store..

Amazon and GameStop pretty much sold out in less than three hours. Although it was a last resort, I fortunately snagged one from BestBuy before they too sold out. Best Buy doesn't really inspire confidence when it comes to their ability to manage collector editions for popular video games. I'm hoping they won't screw me, and others, out of their (fully paid for, darn it) copies.

I was actually relieved to see they stopped taking preorders. I mean no offense by that, of course. It was maybe a day and a half before Best Buy put up the 'Sold Out Online' underneath. I'm pretty sure the only way to reserve one now is to pay way above street value on eBay.

Could we please get some authentic word back from Bethesda on this? Too much second hand information/speculation going on. Question to Bethesda: Are you planning on releasing more Pip Boy editions? There are thousands of us that missed out on this and it wasn't even 72 hours ago that this was sold out after it went on sale.

You just bought a $120 collectable for a game,.... coming up with the money for a smart phone that works with it in 145 days shouldn't be a problem. LOL

To be fair, they sold a lot of Pip-Boy Editions. Thousands missed out, but thousands didn't at the same time. After Amazon sold out, they did stock some more, but those too sold out, and I doubt they'll be getting anymore. It truly is a shame because several ***hats bought multiple copies with the intention to sell them at a higher value. Unfortunately, collector editions wouldn't be what they are if they weren't limited.

Here's to hoping Bethesda does offer one last bunch in their store before the game is released.
