Pip-boy companion app.

At E3 Todd Howard mentioned the pip-boy companion app being released at the same time as the game.

Can't find the answer anywhere on the internet, but anyone know if there will be an ipad version of the companion app as well as iphone ios/android versions?
My smartphone is some cheap chinese thing that struggles to run facebook without crashing which i kinda like as it means I can't get distracted at work/the pub/dinner with the in-laws etc. For the rest of the time when it's socially acceptable to disappear into the world of the internet, been thinking about buying an ipad. Might order one sooner than I can realisticly afford to if it means having a pip-boy app at my side on November 10th!

Ipad and iphones use iOS, apps are intervhangeable for the most part. If you get a iPad capable of running up to date version of iOS you should be good

He also mentioned that if you don't get the Pip-Boy Edition, you can just use the app on your smartphone or your tablet, whether iOS or Android. To me, along with the fact that the Fallout Shelter app does have "HD" resources for the iPad, that suggests to me that the companion app will function nicely on the iPad. It'll probably just be one app, that functions accordingly whether on a phone or on a tablet.

Yup. It used to be in Apple's App Store that developers would release two versions of an app, a regular version and an "HD" version for iPads. Now it seems they generally just release one version for iOS, which may contain both "SD" and "HD" resource files (and sometimes various resolutions in between).

cheers! My only experience of apple devices is my mum ringing up to ask me why she couldn't find an app she had on her phone for the ipad. Having always been a desktop PC person, I just said it was apple being annoying and left it at that!

Bout a week to find and order the cheapest ipad i can find now!
