Yeah, indeed. You're right, my bad. Now then, as for your note 4: It should fit, it looks slim enough, but it seems longer. I'm sure that won't be a problem.

My guess is that you can scale the pinboy app to fit screen, so an larger will get an leterbox to fit

It will also scale, cheaper phones has lower resolutions.

Note that you can also use the app with an pad as an second screen.

If you have a Samsung Galaxy Note, you probably won't get your phone to fit in the thing. But don't worry, any old phone should fit so as long as you have a phone from the age of reasonably sized phones you should be fine. Just use your old phone exclusively for the app (you can still use wifi on a canceled phone just fine).

I might have an issue. I have an LG G3 which is iffy on whether it will fit (its the same size as the iphone+) and my last phone from the age of reasonably sized phones has a giant crack in it... :(

Oh well, we all know the odds of getting a pipboy are so low anyways.

As for the size, order the pipboy edition the moment you see it. A few days before release some youtubers will get exclusive access and they will be able to tell you which phones will fit in it. At this point, if yours doesn't fit, you can still switch orders.

Yes, gamestop got some stock in and so did best buy. I think they have already run out of stock though. I got mine on Amazon. I'm hoping they offer them at the gamestop store. I would rather go to the midnight release to get it than have it delivered if possible.

Gamestop no longer does collectors edition stuff in store because of flaky customers. You can only pay in full then wait by the mail box.

I'm more worried about the pip boy fitting on my arm than I am my S6 fitting inside the pip boy.

Lol I have large arms from my younger days in the gym. I'm concerned they're too large for it. Not a huge deal, I'm mainly getting it for a display piece anyway, but I'd like to wear it at least once.

It looks like Bethesda got more http://store.gamesas.com/collectibles/fallout-4-pip-boy-edition.html available.

Does the pip boy have its own screen built in?

i ask because of pic below

(edit, great i cannot post links.......) i(dot)imgur(dot)com/xAAH7Hr(dot)jpg replace (dot) with actual .

if you close the top, the iphone6 bezel would be in the frame of the pipboy, but then when the guy is Demo'ing the pipboy he clearly has a very flat, very square very FULL screen.

so how exactly can this thing use your phones existing screen? especially taking into account for various phone sizes and bezel/screen ratios and location of the screens.

the only thing that would make sense is that it has its own cheapy built in touch screen that just bluetooths to your phone to run 1 app. much like those cheapy Pebble smart watches that sell for cheap.

I was curious about this at first as well, but the pipboy actually just opens up and you put your phone inside and your phone acts as the screen. There is no actual screen for it. Its kinda just a glorified holder for your phone.

Has Bethesda made any confirmation about this yet?

This sounds like a horrible idea. I mean unless they only care about iphone users. There are so many other phones with so many sizes and screen ratios. Not all of them would work.

Honestly, I still use a flip phone and I still plan to get one if they're available anywhere in another month.

So it's been confirmed our phablets won't fit the pip boy. I will now be in the market for another device to use. I slightly remember someone talking about minimum running requirements for the app. Does anyone have a link or a idea the most affordable device I can use.

I'm more interested in which devices can actually run the app successfully not the size of the device ie: which Gen I pod touch minimum, Id like to dish out as little money as possible to use as a permanent pip boy screen and nothing else

Ah sorry, the only information I know of is Todd said they would be iOS and Android operating systems compatible, but not which phones (video presentation starting at about https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5esyZPt5Jo&feature=youtu.be&t=4m21s.) Sorry, couldn't be of more help.
