Pip-Boy Issues

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 6:01 pm

I've sent in two support tickets but received an automated message back from both, neither message states whether or not a live response will be sent back. I received my pip-boy edition today, and have two issues. The first being that my phone does not fit even though the manual gives directs for a Samsung S5, it does not fit without GREAT difficulty, and I'm afraid to go that far because I don't want to damage my phone.

The second issue is that the top button on the Pipboy is pressed in and appears broke. While I understand it's probably cosmetic only, I'm disappointed to receive my product in this shape. I know it was shipped like this because the shipping box was flawless, the packaging was never opened on the actual Pipboy item, and it's in a hardshell case.

What should I do at this point?

Edit: I've also noticed the knob at the top was loose and won't stay down properly as well after reviewing it since Wolf's post.

At this point I'm almost ready to dispute the charge on my Mastercard. I've always loved and supported Bethesda, I've always been a strong believer that you guys make the best products but this is ridiculous. Best Buy has informed me they can't do anything as it was a manufacturing defect and advised I contacted you.

I have a defect with my Pip-Boy as well. The diodes do not light up when I press the power button and yes, I did pull out the tab.

I don't know whether it's a dud battery of faulty wiring that’s causing this. Unfortunately I don't happen to have any spare CR2032 coin lithium batteries lying around to check.

I spent $130 bucks on this so I don't think it's too much to ask that the damn thing works.

Little light on top of the pipboy is loose, along with a little black part on top of it beside that clicking dial is pushed down into it with no way to pop it back out, and little hard dents with scratches in the hard plastic. And the case that all of it came in was loose when I got it and when I was about to open it everything just kinda

fell out of it...

I ordered this from Amazon and the return for it says they will not replace the item that's damaged, I've waited months for this being excited as hell and I finally get it really excited to pop it open and look at the awesome pipboy and I get all of this...Come on Bethesda you're my favorite don't let things like this put a bad mark on you guys.

No reply but I'll still be waiting to hear back from someone at Bethesda for this thread I hope, I really don't want to return it...but I didn't pay $136 for a broken pipboy with scratches into the hard plastic that are an eyesore, it's just [censored] quality overall I hate to say it but it is. The steelbook looks fantastic but the pipboy is what I was excited for and now I'm just sitting here twiddling my thumbs damn disappointed unfortunately.

The game is great I've been in the starting area town for the past 3 hours building stuff and breaking down things for resources...Then I ran out of metal sadly.

I'm hoping someone will respond here but who knows. Realistically Bethesda has their money so they may not care less but I'm hoping they don't play that way.

Yeah, I did this and like other people have said doing this gets you a useless auto response that tells you to do exactly what you're saying to do thus doing nothing but making you go in circles.
