Pipboy addition ideas

Different Pip-boy models. As we know, there are few series of Pip-3000 (Like A, B, or whatever else) and I don't think that Vegas' Bling-boy will suffice

It's been confirmed that you can aquire a special pimped-out Pip-boy, called by me in short Bling-boy
EDIT: Quote from the Vault:
Pip-Boy 3 Billion

There is a unique variant that you can purchase called the "Pip-Boy 3 Billion," which is a blinged out version of the Pip-Boy 3000
EDIT2: Vault has some interesting stuff that you may want to know

Yup, that's the old Pip-boy's concept art. I just love the radio tuning panel :D

So I think it would be cool if the pipboy had its options for the 4 monochrome colors + an option for real 8-16bit color.

but that would kinda rob it a bit of it′s 1950 aesthetics

true, but they didn't have monochrome green/amber in the 50's ether.

I just think it would be nice if the option was there, and keeping the 640X480 (most likely) resolution, and CRT.

A vehicle or animal to ride around on...

Even a pet donkey would be nice...

I doubt a vehicle will be in the game, but really it needs one... And turn off fast travel.. That would just make more fun in exploring the scenery

where did that come from

They have. It's called "Personal iPhone Bought Online Yesterday", though most people are too lazy to say the acronym and instead just call it iPhone for short. Don't worry. Apple is working hard on how to permanently graft it into the flesh of your forearm, but so far that messes up the signal strength. I'm sure they'll get it worked out soon.

You little smart ass. I wanna bite you. <_<

But for real yo. I can buy an iPhone whenever I want. Pipboys would be so retro stylish. It could become the new Steampunk.

And Steampunk would become the new Dieselpunk, and Dieselpunk would become the new Atompunk, and Atompunk would become the new Raygun-Gothic, and! *EXPLOSION*

I don't recall anything about actual Vaults in New Vegas (excluding Vault 21), so most of these things will be modded.

Damn PC gamers...

There was a vault in one of the demos that is kind of hidden as a cave...
lemme spend the next 7 seconds finding it...

Notes might be good, but a calculator? Whatever for?
And as for the checklist, each of your objectives is filled in when you complete it.
I vote for either a stopwatch, or an in-game clock. In hardcoe mode, you should be able to time when you'll need to sleep and eat, etc. or knowing how long it will take to fast travel somewhere, and what time it will be when you arrive. Perhaps be able to tie notes in with your in-game alarms, saying, "It's almost bedtime! You have one hour to find a bed."

Love this idea!!! Alarms that make noise (Maybe you can set alarm tone). That would help me know when to do stuff. I could set a scavenge time, then a time to eat, then adventure/quest time, then bed time. This would make planing my hardcoe adventure much easier.

Pipboy, a symbol and mascot of Fallout univers, sadly have been forgotten in F3. I would prefer useful Pipboy upgrades. Better is you would get them from quests:
- Improved light. Let's face it, whole lot of people installed one of many "enchanced lighting" mods as original Pipboy provided almost no lumination.
- Scanner. Show what equipment people have and increase steal profit a bit or maybe provide outlines of equipment nearby.
- Food anolizator - Bonus to food healing rate and period of time you'll require to eat egain.
- Lie detector - bonus to Speech and Barter.
- VATS 2.0 - Improvement to VATS hit chance.
- VATS beta - one less AP for firing but increased chance of critical weapon failure.

It is crucial that player could not install all of possible upgrades but instead had to choose what to install and what to abandon. That could be justified with something like...One upgrade require more energy. Also, upgrade to energy reserves would be fine too - which will provide one additional upgrade to install.

I was thinking today. The pipboy light only shines around you. Tho this is a little off topic im gonna say it. Why not add flashlight "Mods" to wepons, so that you can see dark area's ahead of you instead of around you.

I was thinking about this thread yesterday. I'm trying to finish my last game of Fallout 3 before the 19th. I'm using a few mods to simulate what hardcoe mode might be like. One mod adds weight to the ammo and chems in the game. Since the weights of those items are fractions (0.1, 0.2, 0.05, etc.), it would be nice to see the total weight of what you're taking on the slider when picking up large amounts of small, light things like ammo and chems.

Sorry to be the one to break it to you man, but there's no fast traveling in hardcoe mode.

Pip-Boy 3 Billion
There is a unique variant that you can purchase called the "Pip-Boy 3 Billion," which is a blingedout version of the Pip-Boy 3000

Glove
The Pip-Boy glove is a separate item, with a weight of 0, a health of 10000, an armor rating of 0, and curiously, a value of 30. However the item is marked as unplayable and therefore cannot be removed and sold. It fits over the left hand, and has a dial on the back of the hand, presumably to represent another control for the Pip-Boy.

I want to be able to set more than just 1 checkpoint, maybe highlight the one I want to go to. I wanna keep track of more than just one interesting location to loot/visit later on.

and make the geiger counter visible for ps3 version because it wasn't in FO3.
