Going along with this I just discovered that the Bethstore does have a notification system in place for items. I just signed up for notifications through the store.

Dangit, that's my number. Oh well if I got the darn thing I'd probably have to go buy a smart phone which I really don't want to do.

I GOT ONE!!!! My wife is so mad at me right now and my Paypal account is stupid high now but I was just sitting on the store web page hitting F5 and it came up as back in stock. I immediately added it to my cart and then used Paypal to buy it.

Now to save money for the CE Guide.

Tallest, where's the notification system in the store itself? If you mean the Wishlist, I don't think it sends you notifications.

I grabbed one as well.

Part of me thinks Bethesda initially held back half the produced units. This creates a sell out which in turn creates insane demand. They are releasing then in small batches now knowing they will sell out almost instantly. It is strange hundreds are cancelling thier orders all the sudden.

It is possible - now that it's sold out - that retailers are reconciling their orders and cancelling people who ordered more than one. If something like that is happening, I can just imagine the problems that could start occuring for people who have sold (and those who have bought) on eBay.

I read a post somewhere - I forget where, and can't find it now - that seemed to suggest that Bethesda may have basically requested retailers to enforce Bethesda's one-per-person quantity limit, which is where the extra stock is now coming from.

Might also be that they're force-cancelling on folks who had ordered more than their "fair share" previously.

The notification thing is on the bottom just below the Add To Cart button and just above the other ways to login. But I noticed it didn't work. The only way I knew they were back in stock today was because I hit F5 every minute for an hour.

Yeah, since the announcement. I even broke down and bought the game off of GMG for $46 a few weeks ago.

My email notification system notified me at 7:30 am Pacific that the Pip-Boy Edition was back in stock, but I didn't get to the forums until now.

It's now still in-stock only for PS4, but it's flagged as low.
