No Pipboy Edition, no Collectors Edition at all - your lost

Post » Tue Dec 01, 2015 3:06 pm

If You dont release a version worth to pay money for - as the two mentioned aboed - I would suggest as many (not anymore)customers will just pirate the game. Your lost, not ours.

I got the Skyrim Collectors Edition in Artbook Cover and was quite happy with it, then You announced F4 and I looked forward to get an equal Version for this series too - but You just failed. Moonprises for the pipboy edition coz of your low storage and not even a conzept of a collectors edition - steelbook youre serious?... You dont even dare to think that a worthless Steamdisc is worth paying for it alone when the software is available for free for everyone else?

sorry to say but get lost and kick your merchandising ppl hard

(sigh)

There's already a http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1531976-lack-of-pip-boy-editions/ about this with, if I may say so a much more coherent and reasonable OP.

In my opinion, the best answer already shared is this one:

... you know, this is starting to get ridiculous. Seriously. It's a COLLECTORS EDITION! If they made enough for everyone, it wouldn't be a COLLECTORS EDITION!

And go ahead, pirate the game. Chances are you'll get some nasty virus on your computer.

Also, just an FYI, Bethesda has no control over other companies who sell their product. I'm aware that they did request that they limit one per person, but those companies chose not to uphold it. Just like how you had some companies that started handing out Skyrim a couple of days before the official release date.

Blame Bethesda all you want... it's not going to change the fact that you just weren't lucky enough.

I understood less than a third of what was said there... So I'ma just let SofaJockey Reiterate what I said. Thanks!

From what I DID understand:

Very very sad and pathetic you would be so bold as to suggest people will torrent the game solely because they didn't get a 60 dollar hunk of plastic with their pre-order.

I don't see how they have failed. The have made more of this COLLECTORS EDITION available then any of their other games collectors editions. Then went back 2 or 3 times and had more manufactured/released. I heard, saw or read somewhere the number 10,000 per platform.

Considering my PC copy of the Fallout:New Vegas CE is 2690 0f 3400 this means they have increased the amount 3 fold approximately.

Edit: P.S. I got my copy of the Pip-Boy Edition ordered on the 3rd day of release. So it wasn't even that much of a rush sale thing either.

Oh good another one of these but with an almost incoherent OP! There were more than enough opportunities to get one. I myself lucked out and missed getting one just because I had other stuff going on that I couldn't free up the extra cash (and didn't know some places let you preorder but not prepay). You know what I'm gonna do? I'm either going to deal with it, move on, advlt, and live my life. Or I'm going to pay the price to get it elsewhere for more money than originally, as my penalty for not getting one promptly. But really there were like 4 big surges of them available

I like to think it's the same guy that did the poll, just getting more drunk/disgruntled as time goes on.

1) There's already other threads discussing the Pip-Boy Edition.

2) Promoting piracy (which this edges dangerously close to) is prohibited on this forum.

3) Let's not forget that those Pip-Boy Editions were pre-orders - the factory is still in the process of making them. This is not a case where there's a load of these things sitting in a warehouse, they're selling what the factory is going to be able to produce in time for the deadline.

4) Weren't there a couple of interviews floating around where Todd and Pete talked about how they've tried to negotiate for further orders but haven't been able to come to an agreement with the manufacturer? (Keeping in mind that these places queue their orders up months in advance and even if they found a factory that could take their order and meet their quality standards it would be months before production on a new run could even start.)
