I always wanted to have a journal instead of a pip-boy. Pressing the corresponding key brought it up and you used it for inventory, quest tracking, etc. My only problem with a journal would be... "When did you have time to doodle the entire map? Including a photographic memory to boot for mapping inside buildings and local maps?"
