pipboysettlement bug

Post » Thu Dec 10, 2015 2:00 pm

Hello.

First of all am i really sorry if there is allready a threat about this but i couldn't find it. If so please link and vote ;)

Now the problem:

Sanctuary is well settled, all needs fullfilled, has more than double protection and all is fine.

If i'am leaving with fast travel or sometimes some ingame hours "later the day", the look on my Pipboy shows an alert for Sanctuary in the Data/Settlement section:

A "!", no beds, a 2nd resource missing and moral dropping

When i return to Sanctuary all is fine till i leave again.

This is starting to get frustrating ,it happens allmost allways. I cant play like this, if i do so the moral is soon "0" .Or i have to fast travel x times till i have some few ingame hours for 1/2 dungeon without the alert.

Sending companiens to it in this time of alert is also not possible, you have to swap to other location and collect them later..etc.pp

I think its a bug because i donnot find anithing to avoid it or geting quest messages or other ingame notifications.

Please advise or fix.

I noticed this issue too, seems the alert sign is bugged. When a settlement really needs help, you will get a quest to defend the settlement. So for now just ignore the sign, the settlement will be fine. I think this issue is in Bethesda's radar, but I think this is lower priority compare to other quest problem.

How can i ignore it when the moral is really dropping (has the same value in workbench after returning). i will loose my settlers or not?

There was one real attack long ago. Cant remember if there was a quest for or it just happend when i was in town. I remember that there were multiple waves without warning so i cant say if i really "finished" thisone.

Btw you can avoid that bug by not fast traveling out of settlments(it can still happen in 1.2 just semms a bit rarer) so basicly if you want to avoid that bug always walk a bit out of settlment in Sactuary for example if you go inside the fence of vault 111 you are safe to fast travel from there, i assume you need to basicly get out of settlments loading cell so just walk a bit out and youll be fine ever since i started doing that ive never had the bug repeat itself.(someone else posted this solution not sure if it was on these forums or reddit but ive read it somewhere and decided to try it and it works)
