Depends on whether you like playing Good or Neutral. One leans one way and the other the other way.

Personality-wise I really like that they are very different and I think give some good options. My guy is more neutral so Cait fits his needs. I imagine my female play-through will be more of 'always good' character and lean towards Piper.

Piper fits my characters style, at least my female one My male wil be a different story.

As people have said though, Piper doesn't like you stealing or trying to squeeze extra money from people, so if you're planning to do any of that, don't bring her along.
