PipLight on for npcs?

I was wondering how you can do the pipboy light effect for npcs... dead or alive.

I got a few corpses in a cavern with pipboys and wanted at least one to have the light on

Well I added the effect in the geck as a actor effect that is added to the player.

Also tried doing the same using an item with the object effect of the light.. didn't work.

But I'll try that and see how it works, no biggie... just means no breadcrumbs of sorts to follow
