Name: Ralvayne Therendas

Age: 34

Gender: Male

Race: Dunmer

Birthsign: The Ritual

Role on ship: Gunner

Skills: Long Blades, Light Armor, Spear, Bow, Marksmanship, Alchemy, Destruction

Non TES Skills: Grappling, Khajiti Martial Arts, Parkour (I guess that could be acrobatics?)

Height: 6'2"

Weight: 140

Eye Color: Red

Hair Color: Ash Gray

Appearance: Gaunt Face, long thick hair that goes to his mid-back, with several braids looped with a clasp. Beard covering entire chin along with a mustache, but it has a single braid on the chin. Athletic body with many tattoos of Dunmeri Ashland origin as well as a few Daedric markings.

Weapon(s): Ornate musket, long thick barrel made of steel on the inside but with gold plating on the outside engraved with various designs, ((resembles a Hindu style Ornate musket)) And a simple long pistol. Steel scimitar kept on his back in a leather scabbard, and a long spear.

Misc. Items: Bedroll carried on his belt, satchel of various poisonous plants, and a lute.

Clothing: Baggy, thick red pantaloons, a long-sleeved shirt of the same color, Sandals, thick fingerless deerskin gloves, Bandana around the forehead, Thick leather kidney belt with another thick belt going across the Iron Cuirass, and long thick brown cloak.

Armor: Iron Cuirass, Iron pauldron on the right shoulder, Leather vambraces on both arms, cloth tasset with steel plates that goes down to the knee, Iron greaves.

Mental: Very friendly, for the most part. Being a pirate hardened the Dunmer, he is always good-natured with his shipmates, but when a fight comes along, he loses himself in the fight and follows orders. However, Ralvayne is a bit crazy, but not dangerously so.

Background History: Ralvayne was born in Hla Oad, a known place for pirating and smuggling. So at an early age he already knew what the life was like. His father was indeed a smuggler of Glass and Ebony himself, until he was caught when Ralvayne was 20, and his father was sent to a prison in Mournhold.

So Ralvayne took his father's ship, said goodbye to his mother and sailed across the sea, well to Blackmarsh actually. While there, he learned much from the Argonians about poisons, and the art of bow and arrow. When Ralvayne left 2 years later, he decided to follow in his father's footsteps.

He gathered up a crew, and began a smuggling ring all across Tamriel. But one fateful day, the Imperial Navy caught him, and a deadly fight took place. Ralvayne escaped, with no ship, and nothing but what he carried with him today.

EDIT: To solve the gun issue, maybe in the RP we trade with some other smugglers and we get Dwemer Cannon-like things, or steam powered crossbows, and all that crazy stuff. You know the Dwemer had to make some kind of fire-power, and I did read somewhere about a Dwemer Gun.

Approved by Faldom. ;D Note: Edited to accommodate firearms
Name: Loren Julius

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Race: Breton

Birthsign: The Ritual

Role on ship: Surgeon

Skills: Blade, light armor, restoration, athletics, and Hand to Hand

Non TES Skills: Has medical training, incredible concentration and stable hands. Also possesses a lot of willpower, and keeps calm under pressure. He knits well. SKilled somewhat with using a pistol.

Height: 5' 9"

Weight: 157 lbs

Eye Color: Green

Hair Color: Black

Appearance: Lanky, and kind of short. He has wavy hair that descends to his shoulders. Very serious looking.

Weapon(s): Silver cutlass and a variety of surgical tools. (Bone saw, pliers, small knives, etc.) Flintlock pistol.

Misc. Items: Carries medical equipment on him whenever possible. Also carries alcohol to help patients null their pain.

Apparel: He wears a clothing that is very colorful and flamboyant, contrast to his serious nature. It's fashioned as loose shirts and pants, but possesses all colors under the known visible spectrum (and a few that don't!). Heavily contrasted colors are present, such as orange and blue, red and green as well as yellow and purple.

Mental: Very, VERY serious. Rarely jokes, but is capable of holding conversations. Is convinced that most pirates are ignorant fools, but respects the captain.

Background History: He grew up in Anvil, where his father was a sailor. He was exposed to life at the sea at a young age and grew to love it. However, at the age of 9, disaster struck one day and his father was brought home in a casket, died of bleeding due to a serious wound. As it was explained, if a proper doctor was on board the ship, he could have survived. Loren decided to become the worlds leading doctor right then, and studied hard to do so. One day, after spending years training in medicine, he stumbled across a pirate captain loitering on the docks of Anvil, possessed by rage he attacked the man, and was easily outmatched. Instead of killing Loren, he instead offered him a position on the ship. The captain had heard of his brilliant medical endeavors, and was in need of a surgeon on his vessel.

Loren accepted the job and has saved many lives in the two years since that day. He is held in high regard for medical knowledge, but isn't much in a fight compared to some other sailors. he still serves under the captain, and has become a sort-of advisor when it comes to health needs of the crew.

Name: Adire

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Race: Breton

Birthsign: The Thief

Role on ship: First Mate

Skills: Athletics, Acrobatics, Blades and Crossbows.

Non TES Skills: Making weapons, fixing stuff, dancing and is an amazing drinker/gambler.

Height: Average

Weight: Slightly below average (I have no idea about weights)

Eye Color: Aqua

Hair Color: Blonde (reaches below the shoulder blades.)

Appearance: A rather pretty lady, and can sometimes distract the other sailors from the ship work. Prominent curves and quite chesty.

Weapon(s): A steel shortsword, taken from the captain of a ship that she stole and took command of, and a sturdy oak crossbow. (Because she always found pistols un-reliable and slow)

Misc. Items: A map of all of Nirn, an antique compass, two healing potions and a plunder sack, kept in her room.

Apparel: Leather boots that reach the thigh, tight leather pants and a puffy white shirt with a small skull and cross-bones emblem on the chest.

Mental: Incredibly nice and generous, although can snap if you don't thank her for saving your life.

Background History: She was born into a upper class family in Anvil as the only child of a sailing merchant family. Much to her parents suprise, instead of playing with the other children, she spent all day on her fathers ship, looking at the sails, helm, seeing how everything worked. But, at 18, when Adire's father fell ill he had to sell the ship to care for his illness she had fallen asleep on the lower decks and the ship had already been taken but what her father didn't realise is that who he had sold his ship to was a pirate!

Adire snuck up to the Captains Quaters and subdued the Captain with a strong punch to the jaw and some rope, taking his shortsword Adire took him as a hostage outside and forced the crew to man the ship whilst she took the helm. Soon before they reached Anvil's port again she forced the crew to walk the plank by threatening the Captain, after, she threw him off too. With the money the her father got from the ship, doctor's tried to cure him, but he died, and her mother offed herself soon after and Adire was left alone, nothing but the ship. She got odd jobs now and then but soon realised she was destined to be with the sea. She was destined to be a pirate...

First mate approved by Faldom, hehe...

Name: Aeth Raam

Age: 32 in Bosmer years

Gender: Male

Race: Bosmer

Birthsign: The Tower

Role on ship: Carpenter

Skills: Short Sword, Marksman, Alchemy, Illusion, Stealth, Unarmored, Acrobatics

Non TES Skills: Carpentry, Fishing, Starting Fires

Height: 5'3"

Weight: 120 pounds

Eye Color: Green

Hair Color: Black

Appearance: Has a healthy, golden tan. Hair is slightly long, pulled back tightly in a short pony tail. Often has a sinister grin on his face.

Weapon(s): Iron short sword and a fine steel dagger.

Misc. Items: Repair hammer, saw, pipe and tobacco

Apparel: Dingy, off-white tunic, dark brown trousers and leather boots.

Mental: A bit grumpy while he's working. Has a dark sense of humor.

Background History: Aeth spent his early advlt years working on a merchant ship carrying various ales and spirits between Valenwood and Hammerfell as a crewman. Those years were fairly uneventful, earning him a modest income and gaining him experience as a sailor.

One day, as his ship was returning to Valenwood after a successful trade, his ship was attacked by pirates. His ship was no match for the pirates' cannons and his captain was forced to surrender to save their lives. In return for their quick surrender and to help replenish his crew that had taken heavy losses from a previous battle, the pirate captain offered to spare any man who would serve under his command. Most of the merchant crew, including Aeth, volunteered. The two that remained, the captain and the first officer, were left to die as the pirates set fire to their ship.

Aeth took these events in stride. He considered this a lucky break, as he had started to become bored making the same runs over and over again. For the first year his status as a newcommer and former enemy limited him to half a share of all booty collected in their pillaging. Even so, he was earning a lot more than he did as a merchant. After a time the captain began to notice Aeth had an affinity for damage control, in spite of his grumblings when instructed to do so, and promoted him to ship's carpenter which allowed him to start earning two shares.

The life of a pirate really grew on Aeth. He loved the excitement of coming down hard on hapless merchants, taking their goods and burning their ships into the sea. Repairing the ship afterwards was hard work but it was well worth the rewards.

Unfortunately, just as Aeth was starting to think he had found his place in life, the captain announced that he was going to retire. Having pillaged successfully for several years prior to Aeth's arrival, most of the crew agreed that they had all finally earned enough to live out the rest of their lives in luxory. They collected the rest of their shares and departed the ship. All that was left was Aeth and a few of his former shipmates from the merchant ship that had managed to survive to that day. With no crew left to leave the ship to, the captain sold it to a local fisherman and left Aeth and the other crew members to fend for themselves.

Since then, Aeth has been spending most of his days at an inn along the Gold Coast, blowing his septims on cyrodiilic brandy and longing for the old days of pillaging and piracy.

Here's my sheet, for approval, though i know i should PM it i don't think theres anything that would cause questioning

Name: Kahrii
Nickname: Sod, Scruff, or whatever.
Gender: Male
Race: Khajiit
Age: 27
Birthsign: The Tower

Height: 5' 9''
Build: Athletic
Eye Colour: Dark Blue
Hair Style: No Mane
Fur Colour: Dark brown/orange with darker stripes, white jaw, throat and chest. (much like TES3 Female Khajiits)

Class: Boatswain, fisherman and general sailor.
Focus: Combat
Skills: Blade, Acrobatics, Athletics, Fishing, Wittling.

General Appearance: At first glance he may look like a he just washed up on the beach, his fur has lost its silky appearance and instead retains a scruffy sodden look with soaked spikes of fur all over. As long as he is near the sea his expression is one of content without worry.
Tattoos/Scars: He has a few scars that aren't visible due to his fur.

Clothing: Tatty black linen pants that end just below the knee.
Accesories: A shark tooth necklace enchanted with waterbreathing allowing him to submerge in water for a short while.

Armor: Large leather bracers that cover from wrist to elbow.
Weapon: Steel Cutless strapped across his back and a Fine Steel Dagger strapped on his right bicep.

Pack/Pockets: A small steel knife used for gutting fish and carving. A wooden harpoon that is little more than a sharpened stick, used for spearing fish in the sea. A thin but long rope rolled and tied to his belt.

Magic: Water Breathing (necklace), Eye of Night and Eye of Fear (inherent abilities), Beggar's nose and Towerkey (birthsign abilities).

Mentality: Likes to stick to himself as he loves the sound of crashing waves, yet is a very friendly fellow around others. Very obedient when under orders of a captain but may occasionally leave his tasks to have a quick dip in the sea. Hard to anger even in combat he seems at peace with all around. Loves nothing more than the challenge of spear fishing and will quite happily retrieve fish for his shipmates. Is quite sane except for the fact he acts more like an argonian than a khajiit except for retaining a sweet tooth for moonsugar.

Misc:
:- unlike most khajiits he loves to be in water.
:- almost always stinks of wet fur and fish.
:- often spends his spare time whittling sculptures from bits of driftwood.
:- he fights mainly with his cutlass but holds his dagger in the off hand encase his foe gets too close.

History: All his life he stuck out like a sore thumb, had a passive sense of rebellion in his mind telling him to do what he was told not to, to disregard what he was taught. Ever since his first experience with water he showed an affinity for swimming and was always disappearing to have a long swim. Before long he taught himself to fish, first with his hands then with a long sharpened stick and he loved the taste of the fresh fish he caught. When he was old enough he started working as a sailor, seeing it as the perfect excuse to be near water. His focus was to be a boatswain, protecting the ship and its crew from pirates and such, but his skills as a sailor allow him to be happy whatever he is tasked with. He now no longer cares whether his fellow crewmen are 'good' or 'bad', just as long as he gets to do what he enjoys.'

It really depends how you use the guns. Sure, one-shot-one-kill is a bit uber, but remember, flintlock pistols aren't accurate, they don't have good range, and they only have one shot before needing to be reloaded. Personally, I think those are enough limitations for a weapon. I do admit that sword fights are more exciting to play out, and are much more dynamic. Of course, ubering with a pistol is entirely up to the RPer (unless two characters fight). Also, if someone does uber too much, we can always kick them out, or kill them off or something.

Point: When using a gun like this in an RP, make sure you aren't some godly marksman who hits the target every time.

Well, seeing as how I am the GUNNER, I think its passable that I use a long flintlock rifle. And what about cannons? I thought I heard in the story of the Battle for Anvil, the Count of Anvil had cannons in his fleet.

So will we have cannons? If not maybe we have ballistas with bolts that explode, or can just be lit on fire?

Meh, I would have figured being able to toss lightning and fire balls around would make fire arms obsolete but whatever. In all honesty I don't think the old flint locks are all that effective anyway. I personally won't be relying on one. For the sake of...balancing the lore... you could just say that bows and crossbows combined with destruction magic are more popular on land because they're much more effective but on the open sea, where wind and water become much more of an issue and most sailors aren't as skilled in magic, sailors prefer pistols.
