Pistol usage

Post » Thu Aug 19, 2010 1:03 am

Wait, is there an alternative to the pistol as a secondary weapon? I think that should've been in the OP.

Heavies can use everything a Medium can use as a Primary as a Secondary

Mediums can use everything a Light can use as a Primary as a Secondary

Lights can use pistols/revolvers for Secondary and Primary, but if Primary he would have two pistols

Ahh, thank you for this, I actually like this set up. From what I'm seeing in the game, I'll prob go SMG as my secondary, the more damage required in games, the more bullets, and the higher the rate of fire you want on your weapons. Law of averages.

Wrong. If your a heavy you want a Minigun and a Shotgun or a Auto Shotgun and a Assault rifle

I prefer pistols to shotguns and SMGs, I can't help it it's just the way I have always gamed.

I used to play through Wolfenstein on "I am Death Incarnate" (that's extra hard for those that have never played) only using my pistol and my knife. I'm an extreme ammo conservationist, I like small arms, I like precision, so I like to use pistols, SR/LRs, and ARs.

I'll setup a few guys to fill certain roles that use other weapons, but most of my guys will use some combination of LR, AR, and Pistol.

Right, just saying that your medium can't have an AR and shotgun.

Of freaking course.

Even as a medium I plan to have an AR, and a Machine Pistol (Hockler) or a Revolver (Richie)

Srsly.

Yeah.. I know, not a choice - but a must :P

Thank you, Drifter - I guess? :P

Everyone got the rights to their own choices and opinions, should not be tacked down upon unless well.. Someone comes up with the idea to extermine a group of people - again :l

Just noticed that the forum loves to flame people for differences in playstyle or the mention of the words "call of duty"

Yeah, on the Splash board Call of Duty and Consoles are almost bad words, and well.. Here I guess it's Call of Duty sometimes

I like Call of Duty, but I don't want the typical Call of Duty-minded player on my team, since in Call of Duty it's almost rare to see people go in teams or help one another, sure one might come running to revive you, but that's it - the spawn camp resistance doesn't count

But in Domination more people work together to grab the flags, everyone fights for a common goal, or well.. Some

Sadly there will always be people whose sole purpose is to ruin everyone else's good time.

Yeah, I know what you mean - but maybe they have to do it to have a good time of their own?

That sounded a little philosophical

Unless I am using a light I don't foresee myself using a pistol too much so I voted no. I'm thinking I will rock a AR with a butt load of attachments and rock a SMG with no attachments except the quick switch attachment (gunsling or whatever it is) so that I can have a badass all around weapon and then a quick switching SMG that I can switch to on the fly if I'm in CQC.

Plus id rather have the gun-butt melee over the knife (from what Ive seen). I like the ability to knock someone down then fill em with lead over the ability to do more damage.

Indeed, while they have the right to a good time...that doesn't mean that everyone else won't hate them.

I might use Pistols. It depends on whether on the stats. I am going to take switch time, firepower, accuracy, ammo capacity, and reload time into account. Hopefully there will be a balanced pistol that suits my taste. If not, i will use a sniper rifle or submachine gun as my secondary.

PS ImmortalDrifter, about your signature. One of the reasons the Resistance fights is freedom for Guests to leave the Ark, which is denied by Founders. Just saying.

If they were to leave the Ark, it would be a risky as [censored] mission - if they leave there is no way to sustain everyone still on the Ark, they would eventually die, and if there is no land out there, they too would eventually die

Stay on the Ark, preserve what is left of mankind and hope it blooms again

In my opinion, someone's right to have a good time ends when their good time comes at the expense of ruining other peoples' good times. Within reason, of course.

Anyway, pistols, yes. They seem to have really good stats, actually, from what I remember of that guy's video. Small magazine size, but they make up for it with fast reload speeds.

Ahah! YOu admit that the Ark only remains functional because the Guests are forced to due all of the dangerous yet vital maintance jobs! The Guests are being used as slave labor because the Founders are too busy sitting around putting on water weight from all their unlimited water rations! Stop being puppet protectors of SLAVERS! besides, the Resistance has cookies! :cookie:

I generally use pistols alot, especially when using a shotty. I like having an accurate sidearm instead of something fully automatic. So I think im going to use pistols if they're not too bad.

Yup you can carry two secondaries instead of a primary and secondary.

I'm gonna be a cowboy with two revolvers and a fancy hat!
