i thought it actually took a bit to kill him. Plus he could of had a perk on that enhanced his damage you don't know.

Not directly related to the topic, but im confused. Are there secondary weapons like pistols? i was under the impression that the pistol was a weapon itself(same with the grenade launcher etc).

Every character gets a main and a secondary, the secondary being as large as a "main" sized weapon from the body type lower than them (Heavy can carry a medium's main as his secondary, medium can carry a light's main as a secondary), but since light is the smallest type they can only carry a pistol as their secondary.

Each character has 2 weapons.

1 Primary, 1 Secondary.

The primary weapon can be up to the character's size, the secondary has to be one step below - Lights can only take Sidearms (a.k.a Pistols) as secondaries. Anyone else can too, but they're also able to take larger weapons like SMGs

His gun was not buffed.

And it took him a whole mag, indeed. He missed some shots, but I'd assume you need 7 or 8 hits out of 12 bullets.

well I've always been a fan of SMG's, does this mean if im a Medium body type i can carry two of them?

I think its cool! the further you get from the arcade like run from spawn to grab power weapons the better. Class load outs all the way.

You may be able to carry two, but nothing has been confirmed on that. It may be that you are required to take two different weapon types between your main and your secondary, in which case you could carry an AR and an SMG. Or you could take an SMG as your main and a machine pistol as your secondary (can be done with a light as well).

I'm curious as well because I want to see if my light can carry a pistol as my primary and one as my backup, 9mm as my standard with a revolver in my ankle holster.

it is, but just knowing that the freedom to do that is enough, but you could have one SMG for high accuracy and one for high power since mods balance out the things you add with a slightly negative effect on the guns.

or just a balanced SMG with a machine pistol with a scope

If you are a close combat person, you might want to choose two SMGs.

After all they are not only powerful in CQC, but can quickly be switched. Unlike Assault Rifles or Shotguns.

Even one SMG for firepower - 1v1 gunfights, and one for the sure kills (silenced) that has a quick equip time (to easily switch to if you run out of ammo).

Yeah but with the pistol the knife gives the extra damage when you melee. Soooooo you don't have a knock down which I see as being wayyyyy better. Not gunna be very competitive in the long run. I might be wrong.
