So I was wondering if anyone is going to use the pistol the most while being a light body type? I know when you have a pistol you can knife people. I think you would have a pretty good advantage at doing so. Anyone else thinking about using the pistol more than the primary gun?

Well yes and no since I plan to run drognav and hockler. I can be effective at all ranges but when it comes to close work machine pistol and knife ftw!

Nah, SMG's & AR's will be better in most situations; I'll use it as a back up.

Also, the knife is not OHK.

I was thinking that knife and pistol would be the way to go, but the knife is not a one hit kill.
Not saying I'm not going to run it, just take some skill .

I would just use a Sea Eagle, but I'm not going to be running around knifing people. I would only use the knife if only somebody is getting close to and about to melee me in the face so that I'll fall on my ass or if I'm really sneaky as a operative just swipe once for the warning and shot twice or more for the kill.

Hm isnt the hockler considered an Smg? Was under the impression you were playing as a light? As such wouldnt they both cover the Primary wep slot ?

Personally I will use a revolver, even though the knife will be very little use since Ill focus on slide and smack attacks hrhr =)

The Hockler is considered as a machine pistol.

I've just not seen any confirmation for it being a pistol.

Mostly on the larger maps to move quickly and take out enemies in close up encounters.

I'll be running a pistol and knife as my "main" inbetween use of the Barret. As for none of them being OHKs, I'm getting myself prepped for that with Fallout 3.

Alot harder to knife someone if theyr aware, If you catch someone unaware you'll be better of slide attacking and then meleeing tbh.

I'll use a pistol with a medium rate of fire and take it from there I think the pistol knife tandem might be a pretty nice tandem when used in correct one vs.one situations.

and I agree with Legendary not going to be run around with the pistol/knife as my primary
but as a light guy u can only get a pistol as a secondary
so its more of is it going to be a good enough secondary that people will run it in mediams, and bigs. Most likely no. People wont give up their launchers and smg backups and shotguns own the close game if u can make that first shot
but back to the original question

A few of shots with that Hockler machine pistol and then a knife melee, and most enemies will be down i would imagine

I like to think of it more as the Scout tactics ala TF2.

Yea sneak up from behind shoot then knife. Or slide then knife for the insta incap.

What Id like to know is if Slide itself can be used as a finisher, they do speak of it as a melee attack, that could open up some extremly intresting posibilities.

It can't. The slide can only knock people prone and does no damage, that being said meleeing a prone enemy is an instant incap.
