ok all in one duengeon I have come across two things that where weird and I'd like other people to post weird things they've found and where too. I'll post pictures when I get them up
In the masoleum of darkivaron on the isle of balfiera I found
1.) a house inside the duengeon or well a door to a house I couldn't open it

Yep, I have seen "This house has nothing of value" before in dungeons. It might just be a door they dont want you to open until later, like I think that the thieves guild in a town shows up as "this house has nothing of value" unless you are in the thieves guild already.

...a globen proof that nirn is not flat...

Au contraire mon frere. The globe in fact proves that Nirn is flat, as the globe itself is a two-dimensional object in the game. All it proves is that Nirn is round like a tortilla, as opposed to being square or rectangular like a cracker. :P

Here's something wierd. I was in Castle Sentinel and was in the queen's throne room. I went down a hall way and up an elevator, then suddenly it was playing dungeon music and there were enemies attacking me. I found this room with blue bars blocking doors, I found out how to get rid of the bars by flipping certain switches. After hours of flipping the switches I got rid of the blue bars blocking a ornate doorway I went down it and ended up hitting a dead end with NO loot! So I went back to the castle area.

Sometimes Daggerfall just does weird stuff. http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/852/horseshiptrees.png

The reason I bought the small ship is because it's the one that lets me ride a horse. :D

The Sentinel bar puzzle was pretty well-thought out, imo

Scourg Barrow has some GREAT scenery if you do that quest for Barenziah. It's really quite breathtaking when you discover it for the first time.

Ahhh I meant to start a thread like this a while back, I had a folder full of cool/weird stuff I found. But I just checked and I deleted it with the old version of dosbox :banghead:

I've only got 3 from my current folder.

This is what's neat about the game being as huge and random as it is. We can't see everything there is to see in the game in the space of a week, so we get to keep coming here and telling each other about things we've never seen before. Why, I've been playing this game on and off since probably no more than a year or two after it first came out... but I saw something I'd never seen before just a few weeks ago!

I love randommly generated dungeons... I fast travel to a place that's all flatland and I enter into the mound. Guess what happens in the dungeon? I go up many, many ramps going upward, and I'm somehow still underground. I love random dungeon generation!

I've always wondered what the backstory is to those suits of non-textured armour. I've seen them a few times now, and they really stick out, even against the now dated & pixillated graphics of Daggerfall. Did they just never get around to creating a texture for those models? Were they the first 3D models created for the game before anyone thought there would be ANY 3D in DF? Inquiring minds want to know..

Daggerfall's homes were probably originally going to be furnishable by the player. There are still a few "Furniture Shops" scattered throughout the kingdoms, but they are hard to come by and have nothing of value inside. However, it is still quite interesting to look around. The interiors are shaped like regular stores, but are full of miscellaneous tables, cupboards, and wardrobes.

Where there should be a shopkeeper, there are usually several miscellaneous NPCs, allegedly affiliated with the Thieves Guild. I took some screenshots a while back when I last discovered one:

Those are indeed rare occurances. I only found one of them by looking on FAQs. Otherwise, I never saw one. :P

As for me, the weird stuff I always like to see is when I have to meet a quest NPC who is a male and when he wants to engage me in combat, he turns either in an Orc Shaman or a female warrior. six-changing/shape shifters, die!

I have a screenshot here of a funny occurance with dialogue.
Note that my character is a Khajiit.

It was one of the few times where the random questions/answers made sense.

And damn him for telling me to be a cobber! :P

You can also find Thaik, one of the three high ranking Thieves Guild members of the Iliac Bay with the Crow and the Squid, but it's more difficult since he 'lives' in a standard house. I found him in the village of http://i28.tinypic.com/2dhbr82.png, in a http://i30.tinypic.com/24pmn82.png located in the south east. He looked like a http://i28.tinypic.com/11l232a.png (which is not his correct flat) and when I http://i26.tinypic.com/2ykgsv8.png, he wasn't really inclined to give me information about the Thieves Guild. :D

Actually I think I found him in other locations in the past, but I didn't keep a track of them. Also the Squid, the third lieutenant, can't be encountered in the game.

Today I found on the island of cybiades the ruins of cosh hall its odd in many ways first by location http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/ad222/charlesbrandt/cybiadesruinsofcoshhall.jpg
next the entrance which seems to be a bedroom of sorts. http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/ad222/charlesbrandt/bedroomentrance.jpg
and last there is a torture chamber not too far in with seats for people to watch http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/ad222/charlesbrandt/tortureroom.jpg
I still haven't gone that far into these ruins but its very interesting. only problem is getting there I came across it by searching the island from top to bottom starting late last night.

It's not too weird, but I was jumping through a dungeon window and ended up on top of the dungeon. I walked around some, but I eventually wanted to get back down and I had to press Alt-F11 a bunch to do so.

I found Thaik in Daggerfall city. He was in a red house directly southwest of the Mages Guild. When asked about Lady Brisiena his reply was along the lines of "Is Lady Brisiena a problem? I know people that can take care of problems." His portrait is outlined in gold indicating nobility (I think) so his response was pretty funny.

Good catch on this one! In fact a portrait outlined in gold indicates a unique NPC, not necessarily a noble. But Thaik in the game is a bug; actually the man should just be a common one. There's absolutely no reason to find the same dude in so many locations. The bug is the same as the one for the lady in Gem Stores, which is considered as Br'itsa but shouldn't be her.

You can enter both Thieves' Guild houses and Dark Brotherhood houses without being a member. If you can remember where they are (which I can for several cities) you can go in and loot the treasure piles on the floor...usually with much phatter loot than regular houses. Actually, Dark Brotherhood buildings are used quite often as quest locations.

I think weird should also included suprises at what the game does. Like the fact some creatures make a hell of a racket in dungeons, but others silently creep up on you! Or the way the screen moves to show you being knocked about when an Orc hits you, or the quest from an innkeeper to go and find someone; I didn't expect my character to drag him back to the innkeeper with him protesting 'you can't do this to me, how dare you!' and the innkeeper say 'I didn't actually want you to bring him back here!'! Then there's the letter delivery where you sneak a peek because no game cares, right? And then, on giving the letter, the NPC saying 'you shouldn't have read the letter!' and two assassins try to kill you when you leave his residence! All of that's weird as no other game since, roleplaying or otherwise, has done any of the above!
