Place Screen Shot on Map

Post » Sat Sep 04, 2010 1:46 pm

I'm new here so this may have been done before. But how about a weekly thread where we take a screen shot and speculate where on the map it was taken? Would that be fun or no?

It's been done but not often and that's ok. Here, have a http://images.uesp.net//c/c4/Fishystick.jpg!

I had some pictures saved on my computer that compare screenshots to maps but unfortunately none of the image uploading sites have been working well for me recently.
I know Luke Skyrimmer has a few of his own and should jump in when he sees this.

It's actually very easy for outdoor screenshots, considering how much information we have on environments and cities/towns. We know the locations of High Hrothgar, Riverwood, Markarth, Solitude, Bleak Falls Barrow, and that lake with the pine trees around it just from piecing together scenery.

My idea isn't so much for everyone to put random screen shoots on the map. Its more like take 1 screen shoot per week and dicuss where it came from.

Interesting idea. I like it.

However, in such a rugged land as Skyrim couldn't you just capture some snow and let people argue for hours over where you are? :P
