Post » Sat Jul 18, 2009 3:20 am

Hey all,

In a few I'm going to reach level 13 and I kno there's a TON of places to go in this game and I plan on trying to explore everything but I also wanna level and go to where there's a ton of work (specifically killing stuff)....... Any ideas or can you give me a direction- I'm kinda in the jacobstown/ camp mccarran/ freeside/ strip area now bouncing all around......

Sorry to keep killin y'all with questions but whats the FINAL mission --- finding n killing the person who shot me? just wanted to make sure so i can save that til the very end so the game doesn't end on me and I have to start over-

Thanks again

A big box will pop up once you reach the point of no return. Just click "I'm not ready" or something like that and you'll be fine.

oh yeah, killing Benny is NOT the end, that is small stuff compared to what happens after man. The world opens up after killing benny, you get control of your path.

Try going as far south east on the world map as you can, and then swim across the river. If you survive that area, then follow the riverbank north until finding a big slope up to the east.

Have fun.

I personally only buy implants if it helps my character in some way. That is, I might've made my chr. with only 5 STR for some reason and thus boosting it to 6 w/an implant would mean I could, with Weapon Handling perk, equip STR-8 guns with no penalty. Same thing with any other SPECIAL. If you're already good on a stat/can get all the perks/use all weapons you want that need a stat, w/out using an implant, not worth the caps. The effects of raising most SPECIAL by 1 are pretty small...

The regen implant svcks, not worth it imo (edit:of course, if you made your chr. w/9END and have caps to burn and just feel like it, go for it...)

Actually, i've found the regen implant useful for my sneaky character. With the sneaky character i decide how and when to engage enemies, and as such take very little damage very rarely, in which case the slow restoration speed doesn't matter. It also means that i won't need to have large amounts of Sarsaparille with her, which cuts down inventory weigth.

All I know is when I tried it in one game, the soda healed over time tons faster than the implant. I'm an impatient soul and waiting around for 5 minutes to heal when I'm in a Vault (or any enemy-thick area) is not for me. I'd rather carry more sodas. I know it works while you're fast traveling, so useful in those cases where you're going to FT somewhere right after a fight anyway, but...meh. Still not worth it to me, sneaky or not. :)

But I don't have the DLC either...I hear it might be more useful there.
