Placing Dead Bandits in Tamriel?

Post » Thu Jun 03, 2010 5:15 pm

Is there a way to use the construction set to place a dead bandit (or a marauder) outside a fort entrance? It's important they are lifeless, like the easter egg troll. I am trying to figure this out but to no avail. Has anyone got any advice??

Thank you

Try giving your bandit 0 health and 0 fatigue. Then, place them in the render window and use the 'havoc' button to make them fall and look like a proper corpse.

Thank you for replying :) Can you please tell me what you mean by 'havoc'? This is a new term to me.

Also, please can someone tell me how to make a bandit LOOK like a corpse?? I tried placing the health and fatigue at 0 but all that happens is he stands up and THEN falls about 1 second after I enter the zone I placed him in. I'm stuck.

You need to make him fall down in the editor.

In the editor, right under the Files/Edit/View/World/ETc. tabs are a set of icons.
Look for the icon with a bouncing red ball and "HK" written right under.

Select your bandit in your cell, then activate the HK icon, you'll see your bandit fall to the ground. While you cannot move individual limbs, you can move him upwards by holding z and the left mouse button. When he falls down again, he falls on a different position. If you want to have more fun, you can use other objects and make him fall over these to create a different stance.

When you are satisfied with his position, uncheck the Havok function. :)

Yep! And this time, the guards didn't catch us.

And we didn't get fined.
