Plane of Oblivion

I was wondering. Now that Sheogorath is dead, and he has become Jygalag...

Would that mean his realm or the shivering isles no longer exists?

Well first off, when you beat the shivering isles quest you become the ruler of the shivering isles so no. Plus before that quest started it was stated that sheogorath and jygalag were essentialy the same person but different personalities. Sheogorath was the one who built the kingdom then jygalag invades his kingdom to restore order then sheogorath rebuilds his kingdom again. (This all goes on and sheogorath and jygalag are the same person.) Hope i didn't spoil anything for you o.o

Its up for debate whether or not the events that took place in the Shivering Isles expansion actually took place, to use a cliche it could all just be a dream.

(Unless there is evidence to the contrary, if that is the case please correct me)

None. I got enough of them in Oblivion. I just want to see Tamriel. Any province will do, as long as it isn't Cyrodiil or Morrowind again.

Obviously, I'm going to vote for Hircine's Hunting Grounds (I'm imperssed, no one usually knows what it's called. You looked at my location? :P).

Personally, I would rather have something less "epic", but, if I have to choose, I'd have to choose the Hunting Grounds for a few reasons:

  • We can give it justice. Constantly changing nightmares wouldn't work especially well right now, for example.
  • Lycanthropy. 'nuff said, really.
  • Hircine gives his prey a "chance". I can imagine settlements being built up by those trapped there, where the player can help those inside, or help Hircine.
  • Vast forests, contantly at night with the typical "nightmare" theme, with werecreatures roaming around would be very atmospheric and awesome.

Isn't there already a quest where you can be the prey or be on Hircine's side?
also isn't lycanthropy used also?

just saying :whistling: but whether or not there is or isn't a Plane of Oblivion there should be lycanthropy of some kind, or mulitple.
its even refrenced in The Infernal City.

I think we get where i choose, kind of just like i could guess Hircine's

Molag Bal's Coldharbour would be pretty cool.

Imagine Skyrim being thousands of times colder than it is.

Like other people said before, I'd rather they gave the Daedric Princes a bit of a break, I'd prefer a deep political-themed game rather than another lets go conquer other planets/daedric planes/dimensions! (yes i know that a planet is a figment of my imagination, just work with me!)

I would also prefer it if they stayed away from anything horror themed, especially horror-themed daedric planes. The thing is, when you see all that gore and this :obliviongate: a hundred times, it kinda gets 'meh'. I don't think that Beth are that good at gorey and scary stuff, but I know that if they put enough effort into it they can make an awesome political-themed game.

Anyways, my favorites are Moonshadow followed very closely The Hunting Grounds, though I'd prefer it if they choose not to do Moonshadow because it just sounds too epic to handle.

APOGRYPHA!!! That is the place to go to!
I would love a quest where your only hope to find the answer to some big question is by entering The Apogrypha, survive and escape with the knowledge! It would be awesome!
Or perhaps Mora wants to play a game with you? He gives you a (random, hopefully) riddle... If you say the right answer, he lets you pass to another place where you have to continue on (with ghosts around you, some dangerous, some friendly). If you reach the next place he offers you some kind of deal (since you have proved that you are useful). You finish the little deal for him and he lets you continue on (with more ghosts around you...). When you at last reaches the last "meeting" he says something awesome and lets you through to the forbidden knowledge you were seeking. Perhaps add in so that the Oghma Infinum is somewhere there too? And add so that the ghosts got interesting stuff to say, make them from all periods of time, make them give you clues of what happened, add perhaps a dwarf... Such things. Perhaps some are trying to trick you to your death? Such stuff!

I agree with NMM here, leave the daedra alone! The only reason why we got to see them a lot in Oblivion, was because a lot of conditions made it possible for what happened happen. In any other time (save merithic), it would be extremely difficult.

Let the next game be more about the politics of the land.

I'd actually rather have no planes of Oblivion in TES:V.

Ok you silly people. In the case it was inevitable. Like Bethesda wanted to do another one. Which one would you want?

Politics can involve Daedra. They often do. Also you CAN go to a daedra realm and have no impact on the story or land, See the Infernal City.

It would have to be an expansion, and i would prefer it if more was directed to the politics of the new land, but i think Coldharbour would be fricking awesome. A chance to see twisted, nightmarish versions of the places you once knew.

For once, i agree with you. If i had to chose, i would say Hircine's realm... sorry i meant Hircine's Hunting Grounds. :D

I'd pay $50 for a Shivering Isles sorta expansion, but with Moonshadow.

I'm sorry, but have we debated before? I'll rephrase that question: Have you posted in TES general before? :P

If I have to have 1, I pick Moonshadow. I'd prefer it to have nothing to do with the main story line.

I'd rather not have any
We saw a couple in Oblivion and it was an interesting element.
So for TESV I'd rather just see something new.

^ This. Yeah sure Deadric princes are fun, but it is just one element of one elder scroll game. I'd like to change it up, maybe even with Godly realms. (Did the Nine have realms?)

Or just keep it firmly grounded in reality. Invest more in other creatures, like Giants, Dragons, Nymphs etc....

Also, no more Necros. If i fight one more zombie I might just punch a hole through my screen. :(

I think Nocturnals would be a good one because there's a little bit of lore, but not much, so it'd be easy to build off of and create new things.

Either Moonshadow or The Hunting Grounds. Those places could be awesome! I'd also like to see Sanguin's realm, just for fun, but doing it justice would probably get the game an AO rating, so . . .

People tend to forget that mortals can't see normally in moonshadow, they either go blind or everything's fuzzy.

'Too much beauty,' Zenas gasped when he went to the next realm. 'I am half blind. I see flowers and waterfalls, majestic trees, a city of silver, but it is all a blur. The colors run like water. It's raining now, and the wind smells like perfume. This surely is Moonshadow, where Azura dwells.'

This is more about if there was going to be one. NOT whether you wanted one or not so please vote. The nine divines don't have realms btw.

You say reality when you talk of Dragons and Nymphs?

Sorry, no go here. This has been a trait since Arena and a LOT of fans(myself included) will be upset.

I hope no planes of oblivion appear in TES V.

Yes. I think I'd like to skip Oblivion and it's many realms. I kinda like the quests with the Deadric Lords, but would rather it be a long distance relationship... like Morrowind.
