Planet in Darkness

Post » Fri Apr 30, 2010 11:43 pm

A story of rebellion.

2277- The Brotherhood fights its hardest against the Enclave.

2279- The Enclave retaliates by sending all forces to all known Brotherhood outposts.

2286- After a very long, and extremely bloody war, the Enclave is defeated. For good. The Brotherhood controls all of North America.

2288- Outcasts have massively grown in numbers, and overthrow the Brotherhood. There are very few left who bare the name of the Brotherhood, but remaining members who are smart, retire. Outcasts own America.

2292- After years of harsh slavery and torment, settlers all across America form a rebellion and take down the Outcasts, and America is left without a leader or government.

2342- A group is formed, the GEP, Ghoul Extermination Program, recruiting hundreds all across the country.

2345- Ghouls fight back forming their own orginazation, the IGR(International Ghoul Rebellion). A war begins between the GEP an the IGR, not only in America. Other countries get word of these events, and the two groups spread all across the planet. The entire planet is plunged into war, human versus Ghoul.
Who will win?
General Riktor Willis, leader of the IGR, leads several Ghoul soldiers to the north, where the GEP is becoming its strongest. The GEP is awar if this incoming attack, and prepare themselves for the battle of New Nada, formerly known as Canada. IGR enters New Nada and the battle begins. Camps are set up around the country, while bloodshed goes on in major cities.

The question here is, what side are you on?

The IGR is an All-Ghoul rebellion, with a very strong hate for humans. Humans tend to join them as well, but never last more than a month. The IGR's preferred weapons are the 10mm, 5.56 Chinese assault rifle, laser pistol, ripper, and in some cases, the ripper is attached to the side of the assault rifle, which is known as the Demolisher. The Demolisher is the most favored weapon of the IGR, providing high firepower and an extremely deadly chainsaw, making good calls for close quarters. The IGR is made up of Ghoulified settlers trained to death machines prepared for anything. They are heavily martyrs, dying in the name of what they believe in. Majority of the army's Ghouls are members of the Church of Atom, but since Christianity has spread in America, alot of Ghouls are Christian.

The GEP is an All-human alliance, and they extremely dislike Ghouls, and kill any Ghoul on sight- friend or foe. Favorite weapons of the GEP are the daggers and combat knives, katanas, laser rifles, plasma pistols, and assault rifle. The GEP have their own modified weapon as well, which is the Killpunch. It is a laser rifle with a canister attached to the bottom, with several things which allow it to fire knives. The knives are small, but extremely deadly. They can fire for up to fifty yards, and are normally poison-tipped. The members of the GEP are mainly slavers and scavengers trained for years so they could put up a fight in situations like the one they're in. They, however, have no religion at all. IGR members claim the members of the GEP to be heretics.

The war will go on for years-but will the Ghouls overcome riticule and persecution and win the war, or will the GEP crush their zombie opponents? The choice is yours.

Also, if you're interested, please post. I hate it when I see people reading the topic up and then leave without saying a word.

I'd like a map of the area of the fighting, so I have a better idea of what my surroundings are.

Name: Ced Jadiiv

Nickname: C.J.

Ethnicity: 1/2 Jamaican, 1/4 Irish, and 1/4 Native American *Mohawk Tribe*

Age: 34

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Appearance: Ced is a muscular man, standing at 6'2, and is very broad as well. He has dreadlocks with black and gold rings on them. His hair color is black, and his eyes are brown.

Weapons: Wields a huge, almost katana-like combat knife along with a sturdy and powerful plasma pistol. Both weapons have seen their fair share of blood, and he is very skilled with both. Also has an assault rifle slung over his back that he isn't as skilled with, but comes in handy every once in a while.

Armor: Wears the winterized GEP jumpsuit. Although his mediocre status as Sergeant hasn't allowed him much advantages, he has been able to collect a few pieces of power armor to mod his jumpsuit. This power armor include a left pauldron, both shin-guards, and his left arm has a power armor gauntlet, and a few scrap pieces of tough metal strapped around his forearm.

Eligible for driving: Yes

Profession: Infantry

Personality: Ced is a very reserved man, and talks only when necessary. He is aware of the people around him, and constantly tries to keep mental stability over the situation. He can get very loose and lively when he's been drinking, though, and loves to celebrate. Very hateful towards ghouls, and will act hostile on sighting a zombie.

History: CJ was raised by his parents in Rivet City, and lived there until he was 20. He spent a good five years partying at the cities with friends he made on the way. When he reached the age of 25, Ced became a Wasteland merchant. He was generally successful at it until his trade partner, Mel Jone was killed when a ghoul pulled a knife in an alley in Paradise Falls. He knew about the war between ghouls and humans, so since Mel was like a brother to CJ, he felt compelled to fight for his people and his friend.

Well, all GEP members will be in the RP's main base, which is in Quebec, and IGR members charge towards the base in trucks and large vehicles containing large amounts of members. IGR sets up camp about half a mile from the base which is in the middle of the city, and we will be fighting in old office buildings and on the streets of the city until we get to the base. We'll have more bases and battles after Quebec.

Name: Jack Perry

Age: 21

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Appearance: Jack is 180cm tall, medium build with bright blue eyes and deep brown/almost black hair

Faction: IGR

Eligible for driving: Yes

Profession: Hacker/Computer expert and blending in (going unoticed in any environment) but can learn anything that doesnt require a major physical element.

Armor: Black longsleeved jumpsuit with equipment (general fixing tools/his knife) all over it and reinforced with metal, but modified to remove the long sleeves.

Weapons: Ripper, a combat knife and his own unique weapon, a modified railway rifle that has the noise effect removed and a scope attached.

Personality: No definate personality as it changes as the situation warrents; but if there is no-one around he is very quite and has conversations with an imagenary figure inside his brain (which was created when his undveloped mind couldnt keep up with the strain of photographic memory).

History: Jack grew up as a normal child with the exception that he had the gift of photographic memory. From a young age he became obsessed with technology and what it can do but also led to the downside that he is extremely paranoid about a file/document (such as this very one) being created about him (information is power). Jack remained in hiding by claimng that he was already part of whichever faction found him (by telling them information he found out though his spying). When reality caught up to him and he was eventually found out (by the IGR), Jack knew that if he didnt pledge alliance to the Ghouls, he was dead. The only reason Jack still lives is because of his high intelligence and blending skills allowing him to avoid 'nasty' situations with them.

Having a demolisher, a killpunch, and a modded railway rifle would be carrying like 100+ pounds of weapons.

You can't have 3 primary weapons.. At most you can have 2 side arms and a primary.

Unless anun allows you to have that equipment, I guess...

You are NOT allowed to have a Killpunch and a Demolisher at once. Not only is it extra weight, but nobody would know what side you're on. Killpunch is the GEP's signature weapon and the Demolisher is the IGR's signature weapon. You can't have both. I'll allow the railway rifle, though.

Also, make sure to add appearance, weapons, and armor to your bio. I forgot to put it in the first time. And, the uniforms aren't combat armor. IGR's is a dark gray or black longsleeved jumpsuit with equipment all over it and reinforced with metal, but modified is increased reinforcements and whatever you want on it. GEP's uniform is a crimson shortsleeved jumpsuit, but since the GEP is mostly in freezing weather, winterized versions are available. Winterized is a quilted and padded longsleeve jumpsuit, but it's still crimson. The GEP reinforces their uniforms with bits of broken power armor, like shoulder pads and shinguards.
All higher ranks of the IGR wear damaged and modified power armor, but the GEP has modified but broken T51-b.

And please, put what side you're on. Either in your history or create a new thing to fill out.

Hmm... seems interesting. Very unique, which I like. The time line seems to kinda leave out the NCR, which here in the West is a major faction. Hmm... whether to join? I will think about it. I won't reserve as I probably won't edit this post. So I may make a character sheet. Also, I would probably get rid of the Christianity, as it does come to the brink of possible locking. Remember, religion is not allowed. The Church of Atom is because it is made up. I would get rid of the Christianity part?

I included Christianity because Christianity is in the game. Examples are the guy at the church in Rivet City and the woman against Blackhall in Point Lookout. It's not like we're starting a religion war.

Name: Caine Deckard

Age: 18

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Ethnicity: 1/2 Irish, 1/2 African American

Eligible for driving: No

Profession: Infantry

Armor: Heavily modified winterized GEP combat uniform with the sleaves ripped off, instead replaced with power armor gauntlets. His left shoulder is also equipped with power armor shoulder armor, the GEP insignia painted on it in red ink.

Weapons: Customized assault rifle that fires in bursts rather than full auto, providing more accuracy and longer range, 10mm Pistol outfitted with laser sight, razor sharp K-BAR combat knife.

Personality: Always the social one, Caine gets along well with others. However when battle kicks off he seems to completely change personality wise, risking his own life for his comrades and becoming insanely focused on the task at hand.

History: Having a fairly normal upbringing (as normal as it can be in a toxic wasteland), Caine tends to stand out as being well-adjusted and well-mannered. This often yields him insults and flat out hatred from his brothers-at-arms, even if he'd saved their lives on several occasions. He was raised in the settlement of Arefu, his family having moved there after their previous home was burned to the ground by raiders.

The regular raids on the small settlement by the Family had already ceased by the time the Deckard family moved to Arefu since an arrangement had been made to provide them with blood, and their charismatic leader had made quite the impression on young Caine. It didn't take long for the curious boy to seek the Family out and acquire some useful combat training. When the GEP was formed Caine's father Roy had already volunteered both himself and Caine, 15 at the time, to fight the good fight against the wretched ghoul creatures of the wasteland.

Name: Kerga Smalk

Age: 24

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Eligible for driving: Yes

Profession: Scout/Stealth

Armor: Blend of red and crimson GEP jumsuit, with Outcast insignia on left sleeve. Grand-father's holotags. Power armour helmet with visor cut open to allow more visibility, and most internal working missing.

Weapons: Killpunch that is painted black and gray, has been modded to fire gray lasers to help with concealment. A small combat knife, handle painted in colours of the Outcasts. Silenced 10mm pistol for medium-distance killing.

Personality: A tough, cynical man, Kerga takes everything with a gain of salt. He trusts no-one but a select few, and would die for his friends. He is one of the few remaining humans who tries to be honourable and brave. Does not hate ghouls, but only fights them because of his upbringing.

History: His grand-father was a prominent member of the Outcasts, and has passed on the many worthy traits of the organisation, including honour, respect and courage, Kerha was surrounded by men with these values from an early age. When the people of the community learned that his grand-gather was a former Outcast, they acted. Forced to flee into the night with his father, Kerga only manged to take with him his grand-father's holotags and his final words, which he has spoken to no-one.

From that day onwards, Kerga trained his body to the peak of physical fitness, and came to view the shadows as a second home. His father relentlessly talked about "zombies" and "freaks" so much that he indoctrinated Kerga with a hatred of ghouls. At the age of 17 he signed on with a group of passing mercenaries, where he discovered the joys and horrors of battle. He now only fights for a cause he thinks just, and only kills in cold blood when his honour, or his kins honour, is besmirched.

That OK for the RP? I can refine it if needs be.

Hi anun!

Name: Castor MacNamera

Age: 288

Race: Irish Ghoul ( :D )

Gender: Male

Eligible for driving: No

Profession: HST (Heavy Shock Trooper)

Armor: Regular IGR uniform modified as a Heavy Padded Jumpsuit. The briastplate is a 2" thick, gray Combat briastplate, the left arm is a strange modified power armor sleeve shaped to be a sort of shield (the arm is still able to bend however as well as the hand) making it look flat and thick, the right arm is another power armor sleeve that is regularly shaped. The lower body is more 2" thick Combat Armor thigh guards and boots as well as a codpiece. His helmet is a daunting Power Armor Helmet with a metal plume welded on. The left arm is painted in the Irish flag colors (Orange, White, Green) while the right arm has the IGR insignia.

Weapons: (Hell yes!) http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/redfaction/images/9/93/RFG_shotgun.jpg. He then carries a Demolisher and a pistol he made which is a modified 14mm pistol with a 12 round clip and 16" barrel.

Personality: Despite looking like a behemoth, he's a rather friendly ghoul. He harbors a hate for humans just because he was treated like [censored] when he was in Capital Wasteland.

History: Castor never knew his parents, he was orphaned at the age of 9 months old. He grew up in the orphanage as sort of a bruiser, none of the other kids messed with him, even though he was never truly violent in nature. At the age of 13 he ran away from the orphanage in Maryland and went to New Jersey. There, he met a nice man who took him in, he was a crotchety guy but liked Castor for his strength and heart in the things he did.

When the bombs fell, Castor and the man who took care of him hid in a basemant in a building near the D.C. capital itself. When Castor awoke, his skin had been eaten away, and he felt stronger than ever. He went outside and found the world around him in ruins, the man who took care of him was nowhere to be found.

Wandering the wasteland for years hardened Castor, and he was treated like crap by humans, because he had become what was known as a "Ghoul". When the Lone Wanderer appeared and the events of the purifier took place, Castor fought the Enclave in secret, ambushing their camps and taking their armor. He even ran into the man who had taken care of him, Charon, as he called himself. Sadly, 'Charon' did not recognize Castor.

Years later, the wars between the IGR and GEP came to pass, after the Enclave and all BOS remnants had been killed off. So, Castor went north and signed up for the IGR, unable to take the prejudice from humans anymore.

Hey, how about we have more IGR members? My main character will be IGR but two people won't be enough. C'mon, don't be a bigot!

And in case you guys haven't noticed, the GEP are the evil ones. Not the IGR.

Mikeh, you are NOT allowed to have black and gray colors as a GEP member. All GEP members are only allowed to red-crimson colors and all IGR are only allowed to black or gray.

And remember that ONLY higher ranks are allowed to wear power armor, and don't expect it to be fully functional. This is almost a century after the BoS was left in ruins, and power armor is alot weaker.

OKay, okay... This is a great idea:

Name: Thomas Geraize

Age: 219 (27 when changed)

Race: Ghoul

Gender: Male

Ethnicity: 1/2 Dutch, 1/2 Australian

Eligible for driving: No

Faction: IGR

Profession: Frontline Soldier

Armor: Quite average IGR Uniform, with major reinforcement around the torso and legs. This slows him down quite a bit but he's ready to sacrafice speed for his life.

Weapons: Demolisher with a small flash light taped onto the right side, machete (Half the size of a Chinese Sword but longer than a Combat Knife), 44. magnum with no scope.

Personality: Thomas is your typical ghoul, hates humans for everything they've done and only trust ghouls, any humans in the IGR he makes sure to committ friendly fire upon. Loyal to a fault he'll follow any ghoul that has the right idea.

History: Thomas had a normal life until he was changed, which was of course a rough time for him and everyone else. He left his family and forgot everything about the Wastes, living in a cave most of his life he gave up on life in general. Going more and more mad every passing day for 150 years he eventually left and found out all that had happened while he'd been gone. Since he'd learnt how to eat just about everything and survive against almost anything he was accepted into the IGR pretty quickly.

Within a very short time he was put on the frontlines and given a demolisher. Any humans they pointed at he would slaughter in almost any fashion he was told. In general, he was crazy by then but he's calmed seriously after getting into the realism of war. He's been with the IGR long enough to be respected and he's ready for everything and anything.

(I forgot the exact timelines so please tell me if any dates are off... Which I'm expecting)

No. Unacceptable. You can wear black/gray in bases and camps, but in the battle, GEP colors are only allowed. It isn't fair because it would make the others get confused- probably ending in you getting slaughtered by your own teammates. Wearing IGR colors in camp won't get you in trouble, but don't expect anyone in your faction to treat you friendly. Look at it like this:

Average liking for members in your faction: 100

IGR Uniform: 1000 dislike for humans

GEP Uniform: 1000 dislike for Ghouls

Yes, everything else is acceptable. But you do understand why you can't wear black in battles, right?

Also, how come everyone's from the Wasteland? Remember it's the entire world in this war, not just the Wasteland. In fact, the Wasteland is one of the calmest places in the current setting. I'd like to see someone from Virginia, or Maine, or maybe South Dakota.. Something different.
