Ok so I have to pay IGN to download Mods from PES now? When I click the link to download it brings me to an IGn page that says members, sign up now.

There's a small link on the page to the free option.

EDIT: It's changed... I can't see any free option either. Even when logged in.

Yes that is a weird thing which I've discovered yesterday...a site issue or a joke?

My previous login works fine on the IGN site. I suppose there may have been a merge of companies? Or a new sponsor to PlanetElderScrolls aye?
Either way, it all works the same, just looks different.

From APY on the PES forums:

IGN have recently changed their account structure. Their premium Prime account is now used across all IGN Sites, which includes Fileplanet. This explains the new page that you guys are seeing.

In the right top corner of that page, there's a link to sign up (for free) or log in. When you log in there with your old Fileplanet account, it works just as it always has. Just make sure that you go back to PES after you sign in, and then click any download link on our site. If you're not seeing the log in option on the page, make sure you're not using Noscropt or Adblock or similar addons, as they block the Javascript that the login script relies on.

EDIT: Just tried it. Downloading a file brings me back to IGN page again. I guess they're still fixing it up.

Sign in on FilePlanet (www.fileplanet.com), then download as usual.

I normally sign into Fileplanet, then sign into PES before I do download, I did not experience the IGN problem at all, until I read about it on The PES Forums.

Not seeing an issue from my end, was able to download one of my own mods without much effort. The free servers are still available.

Well i can login to PES, but when i try to login to IGN with my account i keep getting "A unexpected error occurred, please try again."

Not that i need to download something from PES at the moment, but still a bit weird.

I had the same problem yesterday. After checking the PES forums, I discovered that what schallwert advises is correct.

Sign in on FilePlanet (www.fileplanet.com), then download as usual.

You have to go to www.fileplanet.com and log in there (you should already have an account if you've downloaded from PES before, it's not the same account as the one you have with PES itself) or register a new account (free is still available).
Then go back to PES and try to download again, this time you won't go to the IGN Prime registration page (which does NOT make any mention of free registration or logging into existing accounts).

I always log on from the screen that comes up when I go to check my mods there. I've never been redirected to a fileplanet page even.

Lucky you! But for those who aren't lucky, you need to log on at www.FilePlanet.com before going to PES to download.

I'm automatically logged in at fileplanet as always and don't even have to log in at PES as always - so for me it works as it always has.
