When I finished The house always wins Part 1, I got the platinum chip back from house.
Now I'm trying to start the house always wins Part 2, and my chip seems to be gone from my inventory..

Now I'm wondering if I might have left it somewhere..

Can Someone tell me If you can leave the chip in a trunk at the lucky 38, or if you can't, because its a quest item?
If it is a quest item, then somehow I haven't got the chip, and I have a problem I guess

I am 99% sure that "Fallout: New Vegas" does not allow the player to remove quest items from their inventory. I just tried to remove the Platinum Chip from my inventory, and the game gave me the message; "You Cannot Remove Quest Items". I think your options now would be to either load a previous save, or see if somehow you could side with another faction. (i.e, NCR, Legion; but I am not sure if you would be able to do that.)

thats what I though..
I can't remove the chip, but when I go to the bunker in the fort (after killing everyone incl. Caesar), I can't get in because I don't have the chip.

This is kind of messed up, and I dont have a previous save, where I have the chip.
I chose the side of the NCR, so I killed caesar, and every legion member in my way..

Where can I find the chip in my inventory? Misc or not?

but sometimes the Platinum Chip will disappear, leaving you having to kill Mr. House.

I have an advice that hopefully helps....

It's possible to obtain 2 Platinum chips.
First obtain the one from Benny. Then visit Caesar. Then exit the premises of The Fort and become vilified by Caesar's Legion (or any reputation that makes them hostile).
Then pay another visit to Caesar and kill him.
The second Platinum chip can now be looted from his corpse.

Too bad, but this aint gonna help me.
Here's why:

When I travled to the fort the first time, benny was also there, and I was hated by the legion, so they all tried to kill me.
So what I did was kill Benny, Caesar, and every other legion member I came across.
I got the platinum chip from Benny, And went back to house, to go to the basemant of the lucky 38.
And somehow I didn't got the platinum chip back.

so in other terms, this quest/game is F*cked up now?
Because if I kill house, I got the NCR on my back, who I've been supporting all the game

I had the same issue, with having to side with Mr. House even though the entire game I was with the NCR. It looks like your choices right now would be to side with another faction. (What I had to do, was just cave in and side with Mr. House; then I finished the game as quickly as I could. After that, I started a new game, that will hopefully allow me to side with the NCR.)

Have exactly the same problem. I don't want to blow up the bunker, because I play the game on NCR side against Legion. Waited for the patch more than a month, but the patch doesn't fix my savegame. It's a pity. Still can't upload the data from the chip, because I have no option to do that. Picked up the chip killed Benny in Tops.

This is Fn bull. This glitch needs to be fixed NOW. As if the main storyline has such a huge issue. My gf has 50 hours on her game and just now got to "the house always wins pt2" and has the same exact issue. Totally ridiculous.
