Okay, so first off I want to say, I don't want to start anything bad.

Anyway, Yes. I like To play TES games in their Vanilla, unmodded, state. And yes, I have modded other games such as Fallout, and no, my computer doesn't svck.

I don't know why, I don't like having mods in the Elder Scrolls. Something about it Irks me. Well, most of the time I don't want them, sometimes I don't know how to install them, but still I end up thinking it's for the better. Another thing that bothers me is the hostility I get towards my view on them, people belittling me because of it. Truth is, I respect Bethesda as I developer and I usually never see anything wrong with their games, at least not wrong enough to change things about it.

Also, I personally like each Elder Scrolls game being different, as in I won't mod Oblivion to play more like Morrowind, I won't mod Morrowind to play like another game, and so on.

So yes, I like to play Vanilla TES games, and I will most likely continue to play Vanilla TES games unless I see an absolute need to.

Does anyone else not need an excessive amount of mods to enjoy Elder Scrolls games, or just me?

Some people just can't handle the obvious flaws of the game - or play for so long they want extra content. Which is fair enough I guess.

I'm like you - I play with small amounts of mods, because I don't trust people. There's been so many dirty mods, or mods that cause CTD's that I just want to cry. So I only install very tiny ones (Horse saddles, portable campsite) just for extra Roleplay. Good for you man, go cold turkey!

This is off topic but, I am a console player and, I wouldn't need ANY of those fancy pants mods if I had a computer to enhance my experience.

I do not need mods to enjoy the game... because Bethesda makes amazing games!

I do need the patches that the community makes.... because Bethesda releases games with bugs an glitches!

That's like someone saying they are proud that they use mods.
Makes noooo sense. It's just how people play.

And from what I have read, 95% of the time the people who say they do not need ANY mods, is because they have never even used a mod before.

I don't need an excessive amount of mods to enjoy TES. Just thirty of forty will get the blood flowing. :twirl:
