If I play as a warrior on legendary.....

Do you think to run away from battle is coward if you cannot fight that enemy.

But I think it's a smarter way to save your life.

And when you get stronger. You can comeback to do that quest again.

If I cannot have a follower, the only way to save my life is to run and find help.

It's the smart tactic as guerrilla warfare so it's not a coward tactic to find victory.

If you plan to be able to run away, think light armor (or none), and remember to sheath your weapon when you do, because you run faster. Hit, run and heal, then return is a perfectly cromulant strategy.

Just beware of arrows in the back, (and fireballs).

I tried a no armor character like that once. Duck and cover, run and hide.

Spoiler
But then I took an arrow in the knee.

I've tried this game setup recently and it's pretty challenging. Truth be told, the armor doesn't help at the very beginning so I stopped wearing it. There's so much damage happening that an armor rating of 100 or 200 or 300 just doesn't matter. You're dead in a hit or two. My character simply couldn't last in a duel so I went for all-out attack.

Tactics that help:

Use alchemy- figure out how to use lingering damage-health poisons, paralysis poison, and slow as well as fortify for your weapon of choice.

Weapons experise - Invest your perks into the weapon tree that helps your build the most and just destroy your opponent as swiftly as possible. If you get into a duel, you're dead.

Retreat - If you are running away, invisibility really helps so figure out how to make those potions.

Good luck!

Max......are you asking the question......or making the statement?

If you want validation of running away as a valid tactic without losing honour or face before your fellow gamers......then.....

YES it is

But we would prefer you to refer to it as a "Tactical Retreat"

Suicidal battles of attrition are a great way to wear an enemy down of you're a general sending in the troops! Or at least it was in 1914. However, modern warfare recognises a more savvy approach to defeating an enemy with less cost of manpower and materiel ( yes, spelling for military "materiel" :) ). Withdrawring, regrouping, tactically retreating and disengaging are perfectly acceptable means of retaining your battle fighting capability prior to consolidating resources for a more aggressive assault (healing). Depleting enemy resources with harrying and focuses skirmishes are an effective means of reducing your enemies war fighting capability. Sadly, modern war fighting psychology of defeating an enemies will to fight though a hearts and minds approach doesn't work with Draugr as they have no hearts and minds :)

hello max :wavey:

firstly this one would like to say is that she has enjoyed all the videos you have posted :)

the question you ask will invite a myriad of game-play styles, ALL of them are correct & right ..there is NO WRONG WAY or RIGHT WAY or MY WAY or HIS/HER WAY........... there is no one way of playing this game, from what this one can see you already have your own unique style.

now some facts about playing legendary .............this is the OVERALL EQUATION ............0.25x Vs 3x

what this means is what you give out is timed by 0.25 and the damage you receive is timed by 3 .........if you ever play the ebony warrior on legendary this is felt in the first hit he lands ...........you DIE

at level 8 if you have the DLC installed you will be confronted with your first Vampire attack, he will be a Master vampire and his two thralls or death hounds, on adept you need to use a few potions on legendary its suicide to even try, it wont matter if you have 100 potions of health, you wont be able to keep up with the damage they deal and will simply die. But why go so far a bear is almost invincible at low levels playing legendary as is a saber cat ............and the damage revived is insane.

So what to do, how to play legendary and not die ..................

you play the pacifist before you can become the aggressor

ONLY go into combat when its all stacked in your favor, that could mean building your game up to level 30 before direct confrontation, a lot planing & strategy of how to use all your perks , a lot of stealth game-play no rushing into situations, and yes a LOT LOT LOT of running

if you are interested about legendary game-play come to the DiD thread, there are many there that play legendary games and can give you tips & how to...........Rick is a Master at this and a wealth of knowledge playing legendary
