I voted OTHER for this reason. It was during my first play through of Daggerfall as a Bosmer that I read the book The Wild Elves. My trusty Bosmer suddenly realized that he was in fact an Ayleid who lived among the Bosmer. This Bosmer looking Ayleid character has been my avatar ever since then. I've even created my own Ayleid race for Morrowind and am thinking of doing the same for my next Oblivion run.

I've also flirted with the Falmer but after what Skyrim did to them, I may never touch them again.

My least favorite is the Nord most of all, followed by Imperial and Redguard. Never played them.

I have no interest in playing:

• Altmer: Pure mages do NOT appeal to me.
• Nords: This is Skyrim, after all.

So far, I only played, in this order, a Breton, a Redguard and a Imperial.

I like that too and wish the female Bosmer had the same feature.

Don't care for Khajit, Orcs, and Argonians. Preferred race: other because I try to switch between them every playthrough.

"Other" is not for vanilla race switching but for those who are using mods to play , other (normally not playable) races . For example, there is a Steam mod for playable Mazken, that would qualify as "other." There are several playable Dremora mods on Steam. Those would qualify as "other." If someone made a custom race with the Creation Kit and preferred playing that race, then that would qualify as "other."

I never make Nord characters. Been that way since I got into the series. I didn't make Orsimer or Redguard characters either but that's starting to change.

I prefer Bretons over most other races, with Argonians and Khajiit tied for second.
When I first got Oblivion, I had narrowed down my choices to either an Altmer or Breton mage. Bretons won because of their spell resistance and because i didn't like the way the Altmer looked and sounded. Now I play them as my main character for every Elder Scrolls game Except Morrowind, where the "true" Nerevarine was my female Dunmer nightblade and not my male Breton Knight.

Eeeh...I feel the exact opposite. I avoid Nords more in this game because of the fact that a Nord dragonborn would be too easy and predictable of a choice. I'd have to come up with a really outlandish Nord character in order to take them through the main quest like I did with my Dunmer in Morrowind(though she took the back path for RP reasons)

Started at Oblivion, used Imperial, used Imperials mostly in skyrim, and now that I bought Morrowind, again, using imperials. I love the fact that they are modeled after the Roman Empire.

My favourite race in Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim is Breton, followed by Dunmer and Altmer.

I never really use Nords, Orsimer, or Redguard. I'm not really a fan of the "warrior" races.

I have no interest in playing the non orc elves. i dont really have a preferred. In oblivion it was argonian but i dont much like how they look in skyrim so now its probably nord or redguard.

Favorite race to play: Orc. I've always liked them and they are total BAs in Skyrim. I like their history, and the fact that their lore involves them being outcasts and people tend to not play them, which I find funny.

I have no interest whatsoever in playing an Orc. Can't get into that mindset while playing, though I love playing a warrior. I'm fond of playing as Dunmer, since I enjoy Spellswords

I don't really like playing Nords and I only had one character that was a Nord other then that I always play as Dunmer or Redguard because those are my two favorite races.

Interesting poll results so far. The Nords look to be the most preferred playable race, so far.

In Skyrim general discussion yes, they are. In TES series section they are 3rd or 4th. Different public.

In Morrowind I only played Orcs. In every game since, I've only played Nords.

Favourite: Hard to choose really, most of the races in TES are plenty interesting, and my favourite tends to change. I voted Orc though. They may come off as simple brutes, but only a fool would believe that.

Least Favourite: Bosmer. I generally dont like the "tree-hugger" race or class, but the Bosmer come off as especially lame to me.

I've never found Imperials to be appealing in any way. There isn't a specific thing I have against them, they're just bland to me :/

I really like the Argonians for their looks and lore, but there's really no reason whatsoever to use them. Nord on the other hand is easily one of the best races gameplay-wise. I'm also a svcker for honourable culture

I've never felt inclined to play an Argonian. I just can't relate to a egg laying reptile in any way.

In MW, OB and Skyrim I generally play the homeland race, so that was Dunmer, Imperial and Nord. In Arena, Daggerfall and Battlespire I mixed it up a lot but generally played elves.
