Played any good games lately? (PS3)

Post » Thu Jan 16, 2014 6:38 pm

Getting a little tired of playing the same games over and over. Mainly, Fallout and Skyrim. So, I was wondering if any of you guys bought or played any good games lately. Share with me please, I need a new game fast.

I have it on PC. Hate it. :yuck:

BTW, do I need to have Steam on my computer to play games? I hate Steam!

AC:Brotherhood... I consider it the best in the series.

Yes, but I'll take Steam over Uplay and Origin any day. (I have all three, sadly.) Steam mostly just sits in the systray quietly, as I launch most of my favorite games from icons in my dock rather than in the client. Although, I do find the client useful. As far as interfaces go, I like how it displays my library and the options for doing so. I know not everyone likes it but aside from the occasional client update that won't take properly, I haven't had issues with it.

I just recently bought a PS3 (yay boxing day sales, a 250GB model and 5 games for less than $300), and There are a few games I've been enjoying

if you are into JRPGs at all, give "Tales of Xillia" a try.. probably in my top 10 favorite JRPGs at this point..
Also if you are into JRPGs, "Tales of Symphonia" combined with its sequel are getting ported to the PS3, release date is 25 of February (ToS being one of my favorite games of all time)

If you don't mind Strategy games, give "Valkyria Chronicles" a try.. a really interesting twist on the whole Turn-based strategy Genre, and an Amazing story (Granted Im not far in.. but I am enjoying the Custimization)

Try X2: The threat, it's for the PC, it's a sandbox space simulation game, have way more hours in it than I do in any TES games. There's Distant Worlds, but the learning curve in that game is downright vertical, it's extremely deep though.

As for Steam? Hate it, especially when I don't have internet access, always tells me I have to be online in order to go in offline mode. :P

There's Oblivion, which is my favorite game on the system, but you hate it, so that's out. Minecraft came out, Last of Us, Valkyria Chronicles is okay, but I disliked it, demon's souls is harder than Dark souls, Dragon's Dogma is a must. Hmm probably several others that I can't remember.

Well, Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag is pretty fun. I've been playing that on and off this month. There really haven't been many substantial releases lately has there? Have you played: Faster than Light? Hotline Miami? The Walking Dead Telltale Game? All pretty good games I've played recently.

Longer than that actually. Though around 2010, they stopped releasing as many games and some regions saw no new games.
