Very High, why would I want to play another game with low customization when I play TES for the level of customization.

How does that work?

My emblem would always be that of the Divine Crusader(my avatar), if possible. I'd settle for the red diamond that appears on the Cuirass of the Crusader. Would there be a way to simply take certain existing symbols of the series and place them on clothing, or perhaps even armor, in a new Elder Scrolls game, without too much hassle on Bethesda's part?
The system is basically that you choose the color/pattern of the cape, and then choose different emblems that get overlaid on the texture. Guild Wars just had generic fantasy stuff like skulls, eagles, helmets, etc. that you combined together to make a unique emblem, but it'd be easy enough for Bethesda to include guild emblems, symbols of the Divines, etc. And I'm sure on the PC, there would be mods to add more emblem choices, making the possibilities (potentially) endless.

Only thing I'm worried about is beards. The beards in Oblivion were pathetic, it just made the guys face darker. Fallout 3 had it right though.

Correct me if I'm wrong but lorewise there couldn't be beards, because Sheogorath demands that he's the only one who can use a beard and he or she who dares to grow one will be :obliviongate:

BUT...thanks to SI Sheogorath is gone and replaced by the PC so it's the perfect excuse for Beth to add actual beards to the game, FO3 style.

That was only in the realm of the Shivering Isles, and even then it was just poking fun at the lack of beards in Oblivion (Sheogorath not included). Lots of people of many different races had beards in Morrowind/Daggerfall/Arena.

Truthfully, I don't really care.

I go by what is practicle vs fashionable or what I look like.

I just don't see sense in getting all hung up on style when I'm just going to discard it when the next better piece of gear comes along.

edit: oh, and if you're counting things like facial features, hair etc., well....I generally spend all of 5 minutes on that.

BEARDS

I repeat, BEARDS
A man is not a man without a beard (at least that's how I imagine it in Skyrim).

Cloaks with a hood attached to it (optional).
Those are probably the two most important things i'd like to see in TESV's char. customization.

Ah ok I stand corrected. But like Venq said it would be weird if there were no beards if the game is indeed in Skyrim where Nords live and you need a big beard to protect you from the cold :)

I think I'd rather they toss a wall of separation between the gameplay side of clothing and the superficial side. For the former, I'd prefer a system where "magical" clothing tends to be entire enchanted outfits, and is fairly rare outside of mage robes. For the latter, I would like a crap-ton of customization -- essentially taking a large number of base models and then adding your own patterns, alterations, and accessories to create a completely unique look for your character. Ideally, it would be done by a Tailor NPC (like a Spellmaker, but for items), and the entire outfit so created would be saved into inventory.

Haven't Played Daggerfall but by the sounds of it I would love that much customisation. We need Cloaks to and Crowns and more exciting types of jewelry and clothing. I think it would be cool to see expensive clothing having more variety as you see so many people with just the black robe with the fur on it. Scarves and hats would be awesome to, I don't really care to much about generating types of patterns ect... Oh and Big furcoats and Leather jackets would be awesome.

I really liked Morrowind's customization, but I would like capes and cloaks though.

What I would like would be the option to add whole outfits into the hotkeys (instead of individual equipment pieces). I like my bard to wear fancy duds outside of combat, but it's a pain in the ass to equip all of his gear every time a rat or wolf or cliffracer appears.

If you need to equip your phatz to kill a Rat, you shouldn't even bother taking it off.

He doesn't want his exquisite shirt to get blood on it, okay? :flame: He's very picky about these sorts of things!
