I like how it was in Daggerfall most. I want cloaks back.

Daggerfall had it right with customization. Morrowind was close, but DF takes the cake.

Also, no use in using FO3. That armor system is FO's style.

I want cloaks to make a come back, along with hoods that are freaking attached to the thing (not like in Oblivion where they're a separate item, although that's fine if they had those in addition).

I'd like to have an option to roll the sleeves up on a long sleeve shirt, to tuck my shirt in, etc. Same goes for pants (rolling up the legs, for instance). Also, I want hats and gloves. I'd love it if jewelry appeared (Oblivion had it right with amulets appearing, time for rings to show up!). Belts also need to show up on your character.

It takes you 2-3 hours to pick out your cloths in Oblivion? Wow.

Heh, I've taken around an hour or so to pick out clothes in Morrowind. I killed the tailor in Balmora and had a lot of clothes on my hands.

I love the use option for clothing in Daggerfall.

Wow...never took me that long to pick out my cloths. Then again, my MW argonian wears his extremely decrepit and moldy robes.

Now, for my magnus in Oblivion, he still needs to find some decent blue robes.

More customisation the better
Cloaks, hats (more variety than just hoods or wizard hats), visible jewellery when appropriate, wands, tattoos etc

Sure everyone is going to vote very high, it's better in ever way so why not? I voted very high too, but there is a problem: The character depiction in Daggerfall is literally a paperdoll, you will never see your character in an other way. In Daggerfall, it's just a layered 2D picture, it's not that hard to make that look good. Making layered clothing and armor in 3D is a lot more work, but it would be great i it worked.
In either case, at least Morrowind level

I'd be satisfied with Morrowind's level of customisation, but obviously the more the better. Would love to see cloaks make a return.

Very high. Customization is important for both sandbox gameplay and roleplaying, and if armor values are changed to a more broad, strategic level as has been floating around, that would also benefit from more options.

I voted very high. It makes your character all the more unique and adds replayability and roleplay potential.

I always kill her too. She has a nice house. :P

On that note, i'd like to see the customization of either daggerfall or Morrowind come back. Just not Oblivion (no robes ontop of armor, no shoulder pads)

Do you think we should be limited to 2 rings and one amulet?

I'd say for roleplaying purposes no, but think of how easy it would be to get 100% reflect, spell absorb, etc. I want more rings, though. I really do.

What I found interesting was that in Oblivion, I heard two people discussing a place that sells good pauldrons. Separate pauldrons must have been originally planned for Oblivion. Why did they remove separate pauldrons?

Jewelry-stacking is something I never really see, which would be nice. If the graphics are such in the next game that you can see the ring on someone's hand, I don't think it would be much more effort to let you put them on other fingers too. It's not like it's going to somehow conflict with gauntlets any more or less than one ring. If you can't see them there's not much point, since for the sake of balance I doubt you'd be able to stack *enchanted* rings. Amulets are a little more difficult since you've only got one neck; I think it depends on how physics and models are done. You can throw as many coins into a fountain as you want because they're separate objects, while equipment is generally applied directly to the character model. If it were treated as a separate thing, like the character is a pole you're draping these objects over, I think it could be done. I certainly wouldn't apply that to Oblivion or the physics I've seen in any other game, really, but technology is always improving. Maybe it'll be feasible by then, who knows. At any rate, I'd file mass jewelry under things that would be nice, but which I don't put high priority on.

Though I admit it would be fun to hunt some animals for a big fur coat, wear a couple dozen rings and amulets, then download a mod for a strut animation.

True, but if they did it right it wouldn't matter if it was 3d. And you're right, at least Morrowind level of customization.

I wouldn't know, I never heard any thing like that.
