Player Character Dies upon resting or waiting

hardcoe mode. I've checked my stats, conditions, and effects, and all basic needs are well below the first level of effect (i.e. not suffering from hunger sickness, dehydration, sleep deprivation, or rad poisoning) and I am not under the effect of any poison or debuff. Then, when I hit 'T' and wait for ANY amount of time, or activate a bed and sleep for ANY amount of time, the wait dialog box finishes its countdown, then closes as normal. At this point, the 'Death Music" plays, and my character is shown crumpling to the ground in a lifeless heap. No message, no indication of damage or any events. I checked all of my 30 savegames, and this happens on the most recent 10. Previous to those, I can wait and sleep as normal, but there are no differences in my character's condition, effects or events.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any known fixes? Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

did you adjust the timescale (I believe 30 is still the default)

I did. I will go ahead and move it back to 30 and see if the problem persists, however I did not have this issue immediately after changing the timescale, and it happens even if I wait/rest for the minimum of 1 hour.

I'll report back with the results.

Hey, it worked! I set the timescale back to 30, and sure enough, no deadly waiting or sleeping! Wonder what the deal is with that... I'd like a slower in-game passage of time, can anyone recommend a timescale setting or mod to allow me to spend more time in an in-game day?

it seems the "hardcoe mode" variables (hunger, sleep) need to be adjusted when using a non-standard timesscale, maybe with a mod
