Player Charecter can't die. It behaves as if essentail!

Hello,

I have a big problem. My PC can't die and I can't fix it.

I tried finding my player ID with help name 0 and with showplayerID. And using those IDs with SetEssential 0. I still can't die. All the charecters I spawn with those IDs can die, but I can't. I tried using player recycle. It just reloaded my charecter. Unequpe eerthing. I was still unable to die.

Any ideas what to do? I know this was a problem back in Skyrim. How to fix it, because I don't really want to restart 16hour playthrough!

Thanks in advance!

Hmm, I died a few times this morning when I was dancing with a Deathclaw. (really svcked as I had to do that battle 4 different times and I won eventually each time)

So, sounds to me like you were messing around in the console and set something and now you can't change it back.

So, can you load a save from before you started messing with the console?

I am messing in cosole because I can't die, not the other way around. The thing is I haven't died (no HP going zero) in several hours and I have no idea when can I die! It will be a bummer to lose hours of game.

After messing around some more. My charecter when I click on him and go IsEssential it returns 1. All my clones are 0. Apperantly the player is its on entity, which I need to basicly find his baseID or the function that makes him unessential :D.

Edit: any ideas? and secondly I have a seve 13 hours 30 minutes and one at 0 hours and 40 minutes :D GG!

Just talked with some people in Steam and they said they have the same problem, their charecter is immortal.

Ok, while this has nothing to do with your issue, running a game like this on saves that far apart is just setting yourself up for frustration. Make a hard save about every 30 minutes, and for sure before you start any quest (you can accept the quest, just don't start doing anything for it until you make a save slot). Also, before you ever open the console, make a hard save first. Then once done, make a new save slot and reload that save.

There has never been a quest issue or glitch that I have not fixed in these games by going back and doing the quest over again. And, not all the problems that can be caused by the console are apparent until you have reloaded the save, hence the two saves.

As for your issue, did you ever type in TGM into the console? (Toggle God Mode) that makes your character unkillable. Try typing that in and see if it says God Mode off (or something like that)

Yes I tried running God mode and Demi-god mode, no change.

I think my only left option is running a script ala skyrim that would modify the player object state into immortal(false). No idea how you can run a script in Fallout 4 or if it is possible at this time.

But yeah it is kind of my fault for not saving every 10 minutes. It is a bethesda game in the end. Guess if there is no fix till friday (Free time then) I will have to just start a new charecter :(

Edit: or just continue and finish :D the game with an immortal charecter... that feels cheep :|
