Player Homes - GuildHalls - Nudity - six - Modding

Post » Sat Jan 18, 2014 8:01 am

Player Homes with Mod - ability. The homes would be locked/Unlocked/Allow Friends/Allow others to manulate enviroment (at own risk). A place to cook up some soup, in the nvde. The mod-ability would be as free as it is in Skyrim. Thus, can only be used in certain areas like the home/guildhall.
Something like this would be a breakthrough for the modders and the advlt gamers. If It can be constrained, just to those certain areas, the attraction of the game would become more long term and personal.
Rift has a pretty good system for player homes. They have their own land that is expandable and build-able but is not present in the Rift gaming world. A house that is persistent in the gaming world would rock, though. The Skyrim system of building a house and expanding it is great. Need lots of followers to move into player homes. Shroud of the Avatar, looks like it will become a new standard for home building in an mmorpg.
Yes, I said nvde. Keep the kids out. I'm a dirty old man and want to see some skin. This is fantasy and I love hard core. That and six animations are what keep me playing Skyrim over and over. Nothing like coming home to the wife or maid or husband after a long day of plundering and kicking the boots around.
Get those and players will find a way to pay the monthly fees. Ethical? Is wiping out a whole race ethical because they have fur on their skins? Kill this guy, wipe out those bandits but don't get nvde.
Keep the kids out of the game. Us advlts need a really good playground, for once, and without restrictions that are set, so kids don't have heart attacks while their maiming an innocent skeever and a boob shows up. Slaves are good to. Keeps the crops growing with minimal cost. I'm talking a real fantasy world, not some cartoonist, WoW setting.
Last but not least. I don't pay a monthly fee for mmorpgs. Lots of free ones out there that are very, very good but fall short, in my book, because their pretty much the same experience with just a different storyline. Allowing players, a home/guild base, with only game-engine restrictions, would set this game apart and give good reason to come back in, and play with monthly fees. Yes, lets have that cake and eat it too.
I understand why the community might not want complete nudity in general gaming areas. There is a fine line between R rated and X rated. I personally don't want the general areas to become x rated and trashy. A player home or guildhall, private club would allow players to flex their craniums without infringing on someone else's sense of ethics. Youtube would eat it up. Real strip clubs would go out of business, cause, I can have my slave dance for me without having to buy two drinks. My wife would like it too. Part of being human is to experience what humanity has to offer. In a fantasy game setting, people can experience this, without, harming another soul. The modders are out there. So, are the advlts. We just need the areas.

O_o While I understand the want for a more mature game, this type of modding is just out of the question.

If you want a mature MMO you probably want to turn to European developers. American / Canadian developers seem to be terrified of nudity or anything even remotely Mature.

Don't get me wrong, I adore how TESO has turned out, just stating the obvious.

Indeed, if you want a full-nvde MMORPG check out Mortal Online. Or don't. That works too.

This "game" exists... it's called Second Life. I'm not laughing, because I know people who mess around in SL, and I never laugh at anybody else's fetishes as long as they respect mine

However, there's a place for everything, and ESO is not gonna be the place for this. SInce you're bypassing the mainstream MMO market it really demands a completely different economic model, one which Second Life deftly provides. You can make real world money on your six mods there and it's perfectly legal  It also requires a completely different game engine.

I've looked at Shroud of the Avatar, btw, and just like a lot of what's in Second Life, sadly, the art quality is... about what you'd expect from content generated by enthusiastic amateurs :/
