2 Player Co-Op Opinion

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 4:47 am

Hi guys

From what I have saw there is a potential for a 2 Player LAN or Online Co-Op for this as you get the choice to be either the man or the woman to play as you could make a separate Co-Op save where both survive and you and your friend can just pick who's who as most people are not picky what six char they play as on a RPG these days and on 2 player Co-Ops you tend to stick together allot even if the option for freedom is there but there is also potential for new quest / mission types with Co-Op that require you to work close or to split up to take advantage of a strategic opportunity. And as for the things like the V.A.T.S system I dont think if theres 2 of you the other person is going to mind if the game pauses while you plan your shots on a 2 Player Co-Op you tend to be plaing with your mate so I dout they will mind they can alwats add an option so you can V.A.T.S at the same time and both have to confirm that your ready to take your shots or if you choose to save them for another opportunity

I know there is allot of Co-Op haters out there but I think this game has the makings of a good Co-Op. 2 Player Co-op is probably the best option to go for but I am sure there could be room for up to 4  maybe you make friends in the vault with another 2 people and they join you or add another story where another couple are emerging from a 2nd vault on the other side of the city?

No, just no. No no no no no no.

Fallout is and should always remain a complete single player experience.

If there was co-op it would have been mentioned and it's something that has to be coded in during early development, so they won't add it in as a DLC either.

Co-op just isn't Fallout, it's always been about exploration and discovering things as a 'lone wanderer type' (beside companions though I don't use them) but just think of the dialogue and meeting new NPC's when you'd both essentially be talking to them and no doubt selecting different options, it just wouldn't work out... Too story driven for that in my opinion.

I wouldn't mind a build-a-bandit system where you can build your own follower that the computer controls, but a friend could jump in and out of controlling if you allow it.

No. Fallout is a singleplayer experience, period. It has always been that.

It would be nice if they laid the foundation for multiplayer support and allowed the modification makers, who specialize in such an area, to do as they please with it. It would be a nice experience to play with a friend & start our own little holocaust of half-blooded inferior humans. Completely with camps we made by our own hands & with steel ovens.

Though at my heart I despise the idea of making a single-player game multi-player. It would be fun though; quite fun.

I think there should be a two player co-op. I think a lot more people would like it, or like it more if it had a co-op experience. People definitely want it, how ever multiplayer shouldn't exist just co-op. It would be great to play with a loved one or friend.

People who want it are tiny minority. Do you have any idea how much needs to be axed from the game to make it work as a co-op? We already have enough "dumbing down" -issues, we don't want more of it with unnecessary co-op.

You want co-op? Then you should be looking for another game. Co-op has no place in Fallout.

People nowadays. Why can't they enjoy a solitary adventure once in a while?

Fallout is all about the atmosphere, putting a second player in the game to go around doing whatever ruins it, completely.

Learn to have fun by yourselves, it's good.

we do play solo but its sometimes its nice to play with a freind because mose games are solo and not co-op and i mean CO-OP not MULTIPLAYER.

i want to the same same [censored] i do in solo but with some one it dosnt have to change the game it can still be the exact same game but ive played alot of single player games but its nice to play a game with some one that i know so we can talk and plan

and not just talk about a game we have both played by our self or watched each other play we want to do both we want to talk about the game and play togeather. if you dont want that thats fine play alone but theres no reason why a game should ever remain solo. if they just stick to the same as the single player game experiance but add 1 extra player then how can that ruin a game? how dose keeping a solo game fully intact but adding 1 player stop YOU from playing solo by your self?

It can exist, do what fable did player one is the main protagonist and make player have a customizable character but they don't participate in the story and rather act as a companion. I don't think anything would have to be axed for that.

Why not? As evident with yesterday this game became Mass Effect.

This is what I've been asking for since Oblivion. The game remains the game, except that you can plug in a second controller, and your friend controls your current companion. That's it. Boom, the co-op I've always wanted.

could make it so co-op is open and totaly seperate? no story but 2 guys wandering. no reason they could change it so co-op story is only slightly diferent and that the woman and man live or still jus the one but some close freind in the vauit lives to but its not much of a change in story if they both originated from the same vault? its still the same story even more so if its the husband and wife story cos they both gonna want to know the same info so there for same story no reason why it cant be co-op infact it would make for a great twist int he story could have dual convo where both players have a say its not like that hasnt been done before in a game

Skyrim sold 20 million copies as single player only, no need for co-op/multi. Other games exist for that reason.

Leave tacked on multiplayer nonsense for games like Doom and COD. No need to waste resources on multiplayer, separate dev teams or not.

Fallout games should remain a single player experience. If they choose capitalize off the franchise and make a Fallout Online, a separate cash cow entity, like Elder Scrolls Online, I'd be fine with that since I would have no interest in buying that.

Even worse, IMO. It's bad enough that resources were spent on a mobile game. Every time a developer focuses any of their force on such side antics, it depletes the integrity of a fleshed out base game.

I'd just wait for ZOS to calm the waves of the console release on ESOTU and start on a FOMMO.
