Player Specific Racial Dialogue

Post » Wed Oct 10, 2012 11:08 am

I'm interested in hearing what player specific racial dialogue others have come across in the game. There is not near enough of course, but I have come across little bits here and there and I have only played a couple of races and haven't done near all of the quests or been to all of the locations in the game. Of course the guards recognize your race in a general way, calling you "kinsman" or "elf", but I want things more specific than that. Here is what I have found so far, but again I haven't played the game anywhere near completion since I tend to have restartistis and my PS3 has been broke for awhile so no playing for me. So I am interested to hear all of what you have found.

Here is what I have found (These are all paraphrased to the best of my memory since it has been awhile, if anyone has more accurate quotes, fire away!):

If you are a Bosmer, the proprietor of the Drunken Huntsman calls you brother or sister and says how his heart soars to see you.

If you are any kind of elf at all, Faendal calls you brother or sister and says it is good to see a familiar face so far from home (which always makes me wonder how familiar a Dunmer face can be to him, but oh well ^^).

I know the proprietors of the New Gnisis Cornerclub call you brother or sister and warn you about how unfriendly Windhelm is to Dunmer if you are playing one. (I'm real fuzzy on this one since I only talked to them as a Dunmer once, so if anyone else knows exactly what they say, that would be awesome.)

The innkeeper of Candlehearth Hall tells you you might want to find somewhere else to spend the night if you want a room as a Dunmer (but she still rents you a room anyway).

Golldir tells you about the filthy Dark Elf necromancer that is defiling his family's remains, if you are a Dunmer as well he says he's sure that you aren't involved in anything like that. (Again paraphrased.)

If you are a Bosmer, then you are "lucky" enough to get an additional insult hurled your way as you battle bandits and such. They tell you that you should have stayed in your precious forests.

There are also some more general ones that I have heard, but again I'm looking for more specific phrases like the ones above. Have any of you come across some good ones?

The Argonian on the docks in Windhelm that threatens you, will not do so if you're argonian(All other races get his not so friendly comments) and calls you marshbrother.

Galmar's dialogue with you changes based on what race you are if you join the Stormcloaks.

There's a particular racist in Falkreath that will remark how he wishes provincials like you were kicked out of skyrim.(But his brother will try to apologize for his behavior) He'll be welcoming if you're nord.

If you're an orc, you can get into the strongholds without needing to become a blood brother first.

In DG, one of the vampires comments on you being an elf and so and so, early on if you talk to the right people.
I found it cool, I haven't progressed the story very far though.

This is my first game playing as a Nord, and the comments I've been hearing have almost made this a new game. "Kinsman" is one, but at the start of the game, the soldier tells you it was a wrong time to return home. I guess my character wasn't as hot as I thought she was. ;)

I can't wait to leave Whiterun to hear other comments that'll be new to me.

One thing's for sure: that damn sweetroll comment must apply to every race.

Madesi will call you egg-brother or marsh friend in you're an Argonian, bandits will yell "You're gonna make a nice rug cat!" if you're a Khajiit(obviously). There are more, but these spring to mind.

Here is what I have found so far,

Madesi, Scouts-Many-Marshes, and Stands-In-Shallows will refer to the player as Marsh Friend if the player is Argonian.

Madesi will refer to the player as Land Strider if they are any other race, a vampire, or an Argonian Vampire.

Neetrenaza will refer to the player as Egg Brother/Sister if the player is Argonian, if they are not an Argonian, he will give a statement about "not much love for your kind".

If one is a Khajiit and gets into a fight. NPC's (Mainly Nords and Argonians) will say the quotes "You'll make a fine rug cat!" or "You remind me of my cousin's cat, killed that too!"

If one is a Argonian and gets into a fight. Nords will say the quote " I'm going to wear that tail as a belt."

Guards in Holds and cities that are under control by the stormcloaks (Such as Windhelm or Riften) guards may call the player lizard or cat if they are Argonian or Khajiit. This does not happen with guards in Holds where the Empire is in control. Nords such as Mjoll the Lioness and Vulwulf Show-Shod, will also refer to the player as Lizard if they are Argonian.
