So as a MM supporter I've destroyed the Institute but I have chosen not to become hostile with the BOS - I did the initial police station misison but declined to join them and never returned.

It was mentioned in another thread that Vertibird travel should be available to me - to enable that I needed to have completed the 'With our Powers Combined' mission but in my game as I ignored the BOS I have a BOS that has the Prydwen still flying, a small presence at the airport and a smaller one at the police station. Danse has become a mute zombie who has seemingly being exposed but rather than go to his bunker he's in the police station. The two BOS in the police station will interact with me and give out 'Cleansing the Commowealth' missions.

So as an experiment I've wiped out the BOS at the airport, it even let me target (in VATS) some people on the Prydwen which was fun. I then returned the Police Station and wiped out the 3 BOS there as well. Going back to Preston he's given me the 'With our....' quest that I presume if I complete then will enable the Vertibirds as Preston will give me the grenades.

Trouble is, I dont want to do it. In my current state the BOS are not hostile, they give me missions in the form of the 'Cleansing the commonwealth' radiant quests and other than flying around (badly) in their vertibirds attacking mutants and the like they are pretty harmless. I can live without Vertibird travel as well.

So I'm going to leave them be, I'm not hostile with any surviving faction and I kind of like it that way.

Just interested in others experiences, what did you do as a MM player / with the BOS?
