Buy the physical just for the fact that I have it. then ill move it on my steam. Safest way to do it, that way you can download it multiple ways if one doesnt work out. I find a lot of trouble with Steam.

Physical copy, absolutely, every time, no exceptions. Steam and pretty much all forms of digital content delivery fail to impress me, and have more than once been the source of pain to me when attempting to reinstall when I inevitably get a new PC. Just give me the disc thanks.

Through Steam unless the Collectors Edition has some awesome must-have-stuff included that you wouldn't get through a digital copy.

I'm going to EB games to pick up my copy. Not many ways you can go wrong by installing a game from the CD.

Physical. If there's no physical copy available, I won't buy it at all. Full stop.

Steam.

Love the freedom of not having to worry about losing or scratching up a physical disc (not to mention where to store the box and crap that comes with it). It's very convenient for anyone who travels frequently with a laptop.

Also, I imagine we will be able to pre-load as we did with New Vegas, so I can start playing Skyrim at exactly 12:01 on 11.11.11

Physical. And if the game is rubbish, I can sell it. :D

Also: pretty box and manual. And, of course, easy reinstallation if I screw up installing mods.

Good question.

On one hand I'd like to add the game manual to my collection. On the other hand my Morrowind/Oblivion game discs are unusable from use and time.

Physical copy, if I have to use Steam then it would either need to be under £5 or it wouldn't be worth the hassle getting.

Being in Europe, a physical copy of a full priced game is much cheaper for me.

Not to mention waaaaaay faster installation times.

Portal 2 took 10 minutes to install via disk.

It took 3 hours to download from steam on another computer.

Not too often these days. I don't know about this game, but if it has some online activation and account features, then it's a 'no' for aftermarkets.

Elder Scrolls is probably the only series I actually want to own the box (especially the CE). Everything else I just buy online when I can.

Oh and just to inform you guys saying Steam is horrible - Even the physical copies will use Steam (Not to install the game, but instead of DRM)

Been confirmed multiple times by Todd Howard.

That also means you can't resell the game to the guy who said he was going to do so if the game turns out bad.

I don't know how a collector's edition would work without a physical copy of the game.
Also if the game is bad I'll have more pressing concerns than trading it in.

Last time I checked, Steam does not offer Collector's Editions.

Not that I get all my games as CE's. But this is one of them.
