Playing around with deadly radiation poisoning

Taking rad child and atomic! perks, I must say, is pretty awesome. At 800 rads, you gain 1.5x AP regeneration and +8HP per second, which is hugely overpowered. Match these up with an effective VATS weapon (Q-35, All-American, Pew-Pew) and you'll find yourself regenerating health faster than your enemies can wear you down, as you tear them apart with all of your VATS attacks. I've used these with a luck and agility of ten (-2 AGL from the radiation poisoning) and it made short work of everything the wastes had to offer. The SPECIAL negatives were counteracted fairly easily as well, especially with Day Tripper, Rogan's Roophole and Chemist, giving me eternal Buffout. The Elite Riot Armor would do the job of making up for the Guns skills decrease, although the lower AP and slower reloads/draws are harder to counteract (unless you have Fire Ant Nectar to spare) but all of the Coyote Tobacco outside Westside could almost make up for it (combined with the stealth suit from OWB and you've got your full agility back). I really don't know where I'm going with this. Would you ever consider irradiating yourself (in Fallout) to become superhuman?
