What kind of tactics do you prefer while dealing with the unwashed plebian masses?

Summon minions, and then attack with range spells. Every once in awhile I may summon a dagger or claymore and join in on the action a little, or for self-defense against melee enemies who might occasionally ignore my summon. I also have a custom-made bound armor spell that summons all bound armor similar to the Mythic Dawn agents. Like a boss.

For general all purpose destruction, my destruction mage uses a simple combination of two spells. First he casts Conductivity (weakness to shock 100%, weakness to magic 100% on target in 10 feet) in the direction of his foes, followed up quickly by one or two castings of a custom lightning bolt (shock damage on target 25 points in 10 feet for four seconds).
