Playing Morrowind again need advice :3

Post » Sun Jul 03, 2011 12:38 am

I am about to play Morrowind again , i got a new PC and i wanted to play my favourite game with visual enhancements , currently i am following this guide: http://knotstheinane.blogspot.com/p/morrowind-modding-guide.html

I wish to know if this guide will get me set to play the game fully enhanced? i am asking because it takes a lot of time here to download all those mods one by one lol

Or i will need something else? for example i don't see in there a way to play at 1920x1080, and there is a way to use Xfire or al the cores from an i7? a mod perhaps?

Ty very much in advance and please excuse my english

(And to answer your question, MGE lets you adjust the resolution)

If you want Morrowind graphics to improve, use http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5535 but follow the instructions carefully! Its not hard, but a bit tricky, but really not that bad. It will also help you get your desired screen resolution :)

I suppose that would depend on how trusting you are of my opinion, since you could probably download everything on my list and have it installed in a few hours, tops.

Your framerate will depend a lot on your video card. MW doesn't recognize multiple cores, so your cpu clock speed and video card will determine most of your framerate.

I run a dual core and couldn't run distant land without MW turning into a slideshow until I upgraded my video card. That one upgrade made it possible to run distant land as well as a grass mod with the same framerate as I was getting before the upgrade (without DL and grass). :D

I'd say you'll get a pretty good framerate with that rig as long as you don't go crazy with the MGE settings and shaders. :)

I believe the multiple cores on the video card will help a lot, as will the large amount of video ram. Good luck. :D

My mod list has some suggested MGE settings for the discerning player who'd actually like their framerate in the double digits.
