Playing Morrowind

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 4:28 am

Hello, so I have a relatively low end laptop that is capable of running things like WoW, indie games, older games etc rather well. Recently I picked up Morrowind on Steam with the intention of beefing it up with mods and playing it on my higher end gaming rig. However I am now at school and will be spending the winter quarter avoiding the half mile walk to my dorm ( and the comfort of my desktop). This will give me some free time with my laptop so I am hoping to install MW as well as some great mods to allow me to enjoy the game. Now this is not my first attempt at playing MW. I had picked up an Xbox copy and played it on my 360, however I found that the backwards compatibility had given the game unreasonable loading times, bad sound glitches and some horrible crashes and bugs. MW seems to run well on my laptop but I was wondering what kind of mods, mod managers/utilities, or even construction set type of software I could install. I have a lot of background with installing and creating mods for Oblivion and Skyrim so I i can manage the process in a similar fashion I would be very happy.

Any links to lists or other forum topics about a similar discussion would be helpful as well. I tried to sort through Planet Elder Scrolls but I dislike the interface of that site and the Nexxus did not have a list of top MW mods.

It all just depends on what you want, as there are 10.000s of mods outthere, in any field.

Morrowind Code Patch 2.0 is necessary also MGE (MGE XE) if you have 16:9

Better Bodies I can recommend too. For the rest it is only opinion, like colourful, true to original, or even comics or those japanese thingies. There is many ways you can go, mods for nearly anything.
