Anyone playing like this, and how is it working out? Currently reinstalling my game data and only two DLCs this time and I was just curious if anyone is playing like this.

Well, two hours in with no patches and there is definately more enemies in terms of powder gangers and escape convicts in and around Primm. I always thought there was less enemies then normal, after all the patches. Unfortunately, the game seemed a little laggy right off the bat, but my ps3 has been on a lot tonight, downloading and reinstalling a couple of the dlcs.

The reduction in enemies helped to reduce PS3 save-bloating, I believe.

I never downloaded past the 2nd patch or so, started noticing that things were going down the [censored]ter. I don't have any of the DLC's installed, but that probably wouldn't do anything. Maybe.

It's impossible to play with no patches and any of the DLC's bar the Pre-Order packs, each DLC had a patch released for it. However, when I played without the patches, there were a number quests that were broken once the patches came along. 5-6 patches later and not a damn one fixed the 'remove Benny evidence items'. I was not a happy camper.

Loving the more enemies and more caravan traders with out the patches, but I can't get GRA DLC to install. Dead Money and the Couriers Stash worked though. I don't plan on playing Dead Money, I just like the light touch perk trick and the cutting weight in half for over 10lbs weapons perk. Was hoping to use some GRA weapons, but I can survive without, as long as the lag doesn't get out of hand.

The only bug/glitch I experienced playing on PS3 that really made me mad was when I lost ED-E (though all the freezing svcked). I was well into the game and was not at all pleased. I'm pretty sure this was resolved through patching.

GRA won't work unless you have all the patches.


They solved that in the July patch iirc. It used to be possible to kill ED-E if he took enough damage while unconscious, and I would often loose him in fights that involved explosives during playthroughs before that patch.

I can't get over how cheap stimpaks and weapon mods are. They are so cheap pre patches.

Yeah, there was A LOT of whining that there was 'nothing to spend money on'. So Obsidian hiked prices. Still pisses me off they maxed slots out at 25 chips. Seriously, that's a mood killer. I don't normally play them, but still, I like being a high roller, 25 caps is not a high roller.
