Playing without the HUD

Post » Tue Sep 20, 2011 11:22 am

I will probably try it on my second playthrough but I think it would be fun to play with no way of knowing how good your health is or which direction the compass wants you to go. It could be just me but I think it would be a fun challenge.

hardcoe mode:
No HUD
No Respawning (dead is dead)
Have to sleep once a day and/or accumulate 5~7 hours of sleep daily.

That's the way I'll do it.

I may try to get rid of the Compass but I need the Health Bar, can't play the game without it.

No HUD, no map, no waiting, no fast travel.

Five small meals a day, appropriate amount of sleep, no swimming in armor/while carrying armor, no excessive amount of items in inventory.

Hell with it. No controller either. Your character is you and knows what you're thinking anyway right? Lol. But seriously, no hud, no fast travel, and no waiting makes sense to me but I think it's pretty silly to play without a map or compass. Those are pretty basic adventuring tools...

Not having a map would be a big disadvantage, yet I NEVER used my map on Morrowind.
As for not having a compass, you can always tell the 4 coordinations by looking at the position of the sun and knowing the time of day (evening/morning).
