PLAYSTATION 4 VS X-BOX 1

Post » Thu Jan 02, 2014 4:54 am

In the coming months I will be buy a next gen console and I am a big fan of the Elder Scroll games. So my question to Bethesda is which game console should I buy? The PlayStation 4 or the X-Box 1?

The reason I am asking this question on the forums is that I currently have a PS 3 and when it came to Elder Scrolls IV and V the X-Box 360 versions got more DLC and much earlier release dates then the PlayStation 3 version.

So for ESO and the future Elder Scrolls VI should it be Sony or Microsoft to get my money?

Thank you for your helpful response.

If you want beta first, PS4.

Otherwise there shouldn't be any difference between the two, as this is not the type of game that can compete for attention with DLC exclusives.

sweetie save your money just go PC I promise you'll never want another xbox/PS4 again... I was a xbox 360 GAL until I found the moderators on Steam and Nexus and I never looked back! With all the amazing mods out on PC you never have to play the same game twice... Every time the game is new and oh if there is something you can't find in a mod Steam workshop lets you build your own mods into the game Woo-hoo...

to be honest this should not really be the deciding factor in which system you should buy

Should ask Zenimax instead since they're making it

an MMO likely won't have too much "DLC" .. stuff from the in-game store.. that won't be shared across all platforms. Although it's possible they might throw more stuff into the console games' stores to entice people to play on those platforms, but pretty unlikely there'll be a difference between the consoles themselves.

I'd suggest PS4 though, personally. earlier beta, better graphics (from what I've heard), and i think the PS4 is easier to use 3rd party hardware with

Stepping away from the immediate push to "PC master race"...

This game is an MMO, http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1481752-why-eso-should-be-moddable/, just UI tweaks. Although UI tweaks IS a thing consoles likely will not have.

Personally, I'd recommend that you get a gaming PC like Alienware but I don't know if ESO would work on it. But if you want a console, I'd recommend PS4 over Xbox One because PS4 has better graphics for gaming, slightly cheaper, and easier to use.

Edit: I have a PS4 and I love it! My only regret are the apps that aren't on PS4 but where on Xbox 360 and I think Xbox One
