I've got Oblivion on my PS3, but Morrowind was never a Playstation game. Mouses and keyboards are fine, for me, but I really feel comfortable just playing with a controller in my hand and my game on the TV. I've got the TV part solved and may I say that Morrowind looks pretty damn good for a nine year old game, even when blown up to the same size as Oblivion. Honestly, I was surprised by how clear it looked when it popped up, with vanilla graphics, on my 32" Sony Bravia. It's very sharp. Those jagged edges that plague so many games are surprisingly subtle in Morrowind. Daggerfall on the other hand... it wasn't pretty. I'm afraid to boot up Arena. Anyway, after I thought I would share that with you all, I would also like to ask for help with something else. While I have the TV part figured out, I don't have the controller part figured out. Would it be possible to play Morrowind with a PS3 or PS2 controller? If so, how? Thanks.

P.S. Oh, and the forums look pretty good on my TV, too.

They are able to be plugged in. I've done it and Morrowind has recognized it as a joystick (indicated because the game's options menu allows me to enable the joystick option only when my PS3 controller is plugged in), however, I can't configure buttons and commands for it nor does it seem to be doing anything.

Are just having trouble mapping the PS3 controller to certain actions in Morrowind? If so, I'd suggest you try http://electracode.com/4/joy2key/JoyToKey%20English%20Version.htm it will let you map keyboard/mouse actions to any controller and be able to use them in game.

I'll try that, but the problem is that nothing seems to work with the controller.

I use the software from this site http://www.motioninjoy.com/, it makes a PS3 controller appear as a XBox controller, and is usable in all controller enabled games.

Yeah, I can confirm this works. Or at least it does on my PC.

I used it once, and my laptop crashed. I don't think it could handle running Vista, Morrowind, a PS3 controller and a shared GFX chipset on only 2GB of RAM.
