Playstation Magazine has spread the word

Post » Fri Nov 12, 2010 7:02 am

Got my new issue of PlayStation magazine the other day, it's official, we are no longer the only people with these problems. Even Playstation says you guys need to get your, poop (trying to be nice and not use the thousands of dirty words that pop in my head from the rage I feel about this game) together!! Please fix your damn game, I have not played it in over a month now because I just can't. I did not spend $60 for your game to become a paperweight!! Everyone else can see this, why the hell didn't you before you let this travesty out!!! :swear:

I know right.. Just got my issue today and ratings have decreased down to an 8.... really, I would have thought Beth. would have at least tried to "Butter them up" with a clean game. But unfortunatly they ran into the countless bugs that all of us are experiencing... Hope a patch will drop from the heavens! :brokencomputer:

It will...but just at a pace that might very well lead to the two-hour war. That or I might be forced to summon forth my dark master and release FEV from his infernal crown.

ditto, because i am tired of the problems of this game being ignored.shows like x-play should be saying something about this instead of turning a blind eye to it.

It really was just a matter of time.
I was a little surprised to see how many "review sites" and such glossed over the problems. NV really is a great game (when it's playable) and is the sort of game where a certain amount of bugs and glitches are to be expected (I guess) so I suspect that went a long way toward keeping the lid on, so to speak. It's always been sort of a race against the clock for Obsidian to get the majority of the games problems fixed before their reputation is totally tanked. With so many people completely unable to play NV at all, I'm afraid that time may have already passed for Obsidian.

The fact that they even gave it an eight is reprehensible imo.

A six, imo would have been generous.

Im just glad someone out there in the media is saying something about it. I have gotten tired of hearing reviews of this game say that they have heard of people having issues but in their play time with the game everything ran fine. I can understand having game breaking issues where if you were in a unexpected situation that something bad would happen. Like how companions will lose their way or not move around inside a vault if you had more than the 2 standard companions in your party. However when you get bugs from following the story line or completing side quests. As with companions losing MCA guns when they get transfered to your inventory upon leaving a casino. Or world characters not realizing something has happened that they were waiting on as in the quest Come Fly With Me.

I just wish that they'd tell us the current status of the patch.

Is it a week away, 2 weeks or just a simple update would be nice

Honestly, I would love to see a patch sometime soon, but more than that I would love anybody from Bethesda to please tell me how in the hell this game got released?! Is everyone blind there? Games get pushed back all the time! I hate when that happens, but not as much as I hate owning the game and still not being able to play it. Please, just answer me that. :banghead:

yeah, seriously. i've been a fan of the series since 98 and i would have much rather waited until December 2010 to play a game that was fixed rather than fight with freeze ups and bugs for 2 months.
I was ECSTATIC when I heard Fallout3 was getting made. And i welcomed New Vegas with open arms.

I have to say though - if Bethesda makes another Fallout game, I will NOT be purchasing it until well after its release. This is simply unacceptable.
I'm also a little pissy about the lack of updates for the newest patch. No update since 11/18?

Wow, you guys really hate this game due to its glitches. What system do you play F:NV on? I really don't encounter any bugs/glitches. Even when I do, they're minor. I play it on the 360 with it installed to my Hard Drive. The only thing that makes me angry is the mass amounts of problems with the quest "I Put a Spell on You".

Seriously? What system?

You have now made at least one VOCAL player decide that your games are not worth buying, Congratulations. Whatever I think of the franchise, I will not buy from Bethesda ever again, or Obsidian.

For those that do not get it...

NO game should ever launch with glitches that break the game. NONE!! This game has several.

Yeah... My game has froze SEVERAL times since I got it and I'm only level 14. I'd say 10-15 freezes where I have to manually turn off the PS3.

Bethesda are you [censored] serious? I love this game but this is ridiculous. And at one point it froze EVERY TIME I tried to save. Every single time. I had to go off a different profile.

Amazing isn't it?

When the game wasn't out and they were fighting over their competitors to get 'exclusive reviews' or 'exclusive looks' it was all sunshine and roses, could that be because they were playing ball with Bethseda and Obsidian and wanted to get some details that their competitors could not?

But now that the game is out and theres no details or no more opportunities to get 1up on their competitors... suddenly, theres problems with the game?

Hmmm didn't think that was important enough to say in a review then? Mind you, slagging off the game back then might have meant no PR/blue disk copy for their reviewers... opps did I say that out loud?
