Text from Source:

We told you yesterday that Sony had announced that the PSN service will be back online in very soon, and the host of measures they were going to offer its customers as a thank you for the downtime. It looks like the phased operation to bring the service back online has begun, as it seems that PSN back on in Japan, but still down elsewhere.

A reader on the forums of gamrConnect is reporting that lots of people in Japan are saying the service has come back online. It is thought that other regions including North America will be back up by tomorrow. The PlayStation Network has been down almost two weeks now, and has been a major frustration and worry for millions of PS3 owners.

Luckily it now seems that they will soon be able to get back online and start playing their multi-player games. Sony said yesterday they will be offering some free downloads for its loyal customers, and also thirty days free access to the PlayStation Plus service.

Just to think we used our consoles for years and years without online capabilities. Now we were without the Network for 2 weeks and it's crazy how much it's missed.

I didn't miss it one bit, I'm sad that the focus is being taken more and more away from single player, I prefer to play games without english 12 year olds screaming in my ear :)

That is good news and remember to reset your password and probably use another password instead of the one that you were using. Better to be prepared then find out that you have a mysterious charge on your bill that you never bought because you forgot to reset your password to a different one.

I hope Sony fixed the problems that they've had. I really don't want to see this happen again.

Next time we sign into PSN it will automatically make us change our password.

I am not trying to argue here, I just don't understand. Why do you need to upload the trophies? I love the 360 and I don't see what the big deal of achievements is. My son loves them and has to unlock them for me since I dont' care for them.

What is the big deal if they are uploaded or not? You still did them so why they need to be uploaded?

Just asking because I don't understand.

That is better :hehe: Seriously, special characters, big and small letters and numbers make a password strong. Never use only words.

On topic: Finally! :stare:

I had the same problem. Then i started using variations of the type codes of various equipment. My old password was based on my long since dead laptop's type number. Just try and brute force that

Metal Gear Solid 4?

MGS4 doesn't have trophies besides the in-game trophy that determines your rank (Shark, Wolf etc).

Hit the nail on the head, for me, anyways.

Really opened my eyes and showed me how much I was really gaming online vs single player. As I mentioned in other threads, this has been a great opportunity to get back in to some great single player games.

And I miss my netflix! It is basically my cable t.v. I think I've grown a bit too dependent on my ps3 as my one stop entertainment center. I'm sure sony likes to here that.

And btw dragonborn, your post count scares me

I'm a little embarrassed to say so, but my thoughts exactly. I might even waste more money on an overpriced-consumer-poaching map pack.
