Playstation Network Update

Post » Mon May 30, 2011 6:24 am

So the fresh work on the street (meaning that this has not been officially released on PS3 blog) but several anonymous playstation employees on IGN forums and various other sources have stated that Monday, May 9th is the new date that the network will be reestablished. Some news that pertains to this that many of you might want to know:

Activision has released a beefy new patch for Black Ops, and of course let us all remind ourselves of the obvious that there will most certainly be a system update of mass proportions. I actually had my preorder at Best Buy for the Fallout DLC, but when I saw how close the call was going to be I will be going to the midnight release at Wal Mart so I can get all of the downloading out of the way and get started playing.

Cheers!

Oh Jesus! Monday? Really! Like anyones going to have time to download an update on Monday! Nobody likes Mondays. <_< Well I guess it's better than nothing. I just wish it was on the weekend so I can just chill and play PS3 without worrying about school

Edit: Oh and what Shinigami said. Thanks for the date :)

BTW guys. . .

I have tried to pay attention to the PS3 user ID threads so we can all network but there seems to be some loss in translation. While I am not trying to put off the youth, I do prefer to play with mature gamers. I am going to start a thread. . .

The latest on the official PSN Network blog (dated May 5, and there were 3 updates) is that they have begun the final phase of internal testing ... exactly how long that will take is anyone's guess but assuming no bumps the Monday 9th seems a possible.

So your saying to play games is to be immature? Wow. . .maybe forums for games is not such a good idea. The ratio of cool people to idiots is way unbalanced.

Actually this thread is from yesterday... :stare:

But yes, I am really hoping it comes back on the 9th :celebration: I'm worried about not being able to redeem my Fallout pack with the store down though...

Looks like they dropped the ball again considering they promised it would be back up this week sometime. I really am disappointed the way they have handled things hiding or not releasing important information and not really keeping us in the loop on everything.

They never promised anything. They simply stated that they were "aiming" to have the PSN up by thursday, obviously complications arose and its taking longer.
The only thing they have promised is what they are giving people back when it comes back up, depending on what you have subscribed to through PSN.

The best we can do is stay on the Brink forums until it gets back up. But they have set dates before. I hope this is the last one....

You knew what I meant and even if they didn't releasing an official statement saying they believe they will have it back up sometime this week then not having it up is dropping the ball. Just like they have been on releasing information they could help people take steps to protecting themselves.

Good update, But I too was considering making a PS3 Members list, as the other one has seemed to fail.

If you wish to make it, however, I suggest you be prepared to commit.

Its takes a lot of work to maintain one.

PS said May 3rd, and what happend? absouletly nothing. they said last week, and what happened? absouleltly nothing. now they say tomorrow? as much as i want it to come back up tomorrow, i am just to bitter and pessimistic to beleive anything Sony says right now, at least until i start to see actual results, and not just words.

I'm gonna have to second this. Until I see some actual movement in terms of PSN, I'll just assume they are going to delay the date again.
