I have been waiting for this game for years. I can't even tell you how many hours I spent playing Fallout 3. It is one of my favorite games, ever.
With that said, I have been extremely disappointed over the last 24 hours. I took two days off of work so I could enjoy the heck out of this game.
Now, of course I know there are bugs with every release. I'm not expecting every bug to have a solution before release BUT
I have now browsed through Bethesda forums, Steam forums, and reddit forums, and I see the same issue over and over again:
FOR A LOT OF US THE GAME IS SIMPLY NOT SAVING OUR GRAPHIC CHOICES, THEREFORE OUR ONLY OPTION TO PLAY IS ON 800X500 WINDOWED MODE!
Now, I have done EVERY single thing listed on this forum as a "solution" for this, with no luck. I've messed with the Fallout4Prefs file, no luck. I've manually created a fallout4 folder in My Games folder, no luck. I uninstalled Fallout 4, uninstalled Steam, re-installed everything, WITH NO LUCK.
So now I plead with you: PLEASE FIX THIS NOW. I am not going to play the most anticipated game of the past 4 years in 800x500 windowed mode. I simply refuse to. A lot of us paid $60 for this game and have dropped more $$ on the Season Pass as well. So far, that has gotten us ZERO playtime and ZERO response from Bethesda officials on this forum. Almost every single post related to this problem has NO FEEDBACK from Bethesda Community Managers. This is ridiculous. Please stop this nonsense. I WANT TO PLAY THE GAME I PAID MONEY FOR!
