please allow us to move dead bodies out of buildings

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 6:50 am

whenever you enter buildings that brings up a load screen you cant move the bodies out of them. when you carry a body and leave a building you should be able to still have the body when you go outside. instead the body drops by the exit.

I want the green goo to vanish, 10 or 12 piles of that laying around just looks icky.

or at least have the option of using a mop to mop it up. they need to make the environment more interactive.

Though it did make it convenient for reminding you if you'd been in a particular area or not, look for ash piles and piles of green goo, see one? Yeap been here already.

Yeah I remember in MW you could dispose of the body and that was nice (didn't make a lot of sense, but it was nice). There are times in Skyrim I have to wade through bodies to get out of a place. It's ok though since it is more realistic that the bodies stay. I can't think of a time when I really wanted to take a body outside with me.

Old school fallout 3 trick, load all your excess loot on a body so that your not encumbered, then carry the body from point A to point B. corpse acted like a container that you drop with a button click and be freed up for combat at full speed and still have your 37 suits of lootable armor.

Actually I think that was doable in Oblivion also.

Well, it could cramp one's style if you find a really nice house, and the late occupiers (not late when you arrive, of course ) simply won't leave ;)

i dont think this will be a really big problem as most buildings will not have a load screen this time.. only really large areas like underground bunkers or something would require a load screen this time.

It is my opinion that those corpses bloat the save game.

I'd just like to see a bit of decomposition after a length of time passes. Eventually you get down to bones that you can toss. Or the ability to dig a grave and toss the bodies in. As well as bodies disappearing after a while.

IIRC, MMM had a feature where bodies would turn to skeletons over time. Rather than having the bodies disappear entirely (although I can see why some would want them to) why not have something like that. It's far more realistic than having the same non decomposing corpse(s) littering the floors of everywhere you've been.

Be really simple to make a mod that adds a gun that does a "disable" on a targeted corpse.

I think it best be conditioned on corpses though - don't want walls or floor being disabled.

I think I remember reading about a mod for Oblivion that over time, bodies left on the ground would go from normal fresh kill, to being replaced by a zombie body, to a skeleton, and then disappear.

I can't think of any situation where I'd need to carry a body out of building. "C'mon dead guy,.. you're my new best friend!" Loneliest wastelander in the world.

The only problem I ever remember with bodies were the ash and green goo ones as they'd never go away. Seems like that was fixed in a patch at some point though. As for regular dead bodies.. they always de-spawned rather quickly. Don't even know why you'd ever need an extra way to get rid of corpses... Are they really scary to some players? "Ahhh, dead body!"

@breadstick - why do you want these dead bodies, out of curiosity?

The most logical solution for this problem would be just to eat that corpse...

I can think of one time this would have been nice. I had F:NV game that a fiend followed me into the Crimson Caravan compound and then I killed them. Every time I returned the fiend would respawn in the compound and I'd have to kill them before they murdered everyone.

mostly for various sandbox type of reasons like making a huge pile of 1000 bodies and put a ton of explosives under it then nuke it.

also i like to use buildings as a base camp and wouldnt want scattered bodies around crowding everything

I had one body in New Vegas which stayed in his shop just lying there though out my entire 100 hours I played the game. Hated that.

Obviously, killing a shop owner is an evil act.. so the body was simply haunting you. It had unfinished business.

In New Vegas there's a mod that lets you put dead npc's and creatures into your inventory and take them to your house like trophies. ^^ Gotta love the creativity of modders. ^^

Although, the only snag is that you can only do it with unique characters for some reason. Some people were disappointed. ^^
