Please Beth, could we have more focus on immersion, realism

Immersion, what do i mean by that?

Diseases

You contract them, and don't really know you even have them if you miss the message at the top left of the screen - now if your charector got the shakes, only a slight feverish-shake now and then, or you saw their arm shiver as they tried to aim with the bow, again only slight, to throw the aim off a tiny bit, and then after 4 days had to stop to throw up once every half an hour (real time) you'd have some incentive to get cured, if you've left it too long, and then go on a stealth mission, and right as your sneaking up on a bandit chief you throw up then black out, that would be an amazing experience!

Food & Drink
(Many of us out there loved the Fallout: New Vegas hardcoe mode. Would love to see that in Skyrim)

There are a ton of eat, sleep, drink mods out there, but none of them seem to get it right, the penalties get too extreme, or they arn't put across well enough to the player as they game, and many of the overhaul mods that address some improvements come with too many game-changing extras, hardcoe survival, or total realism, is something that needs to be done by the dev's, the amount of mods out there shows that skyrim's playerbase wants it, but it does need something official to be done about it.

Food: is everywhere, it weighs more than it's worth, and there is no incentive to pick it up what-so-ever, which is a real shame, would love to see a patch change this, and add recipes that are exciting to use, perhaps recipes that you have to find out about? because the effects you get off food, or health return are just garbage.

Drink: with most of us that have a food, drink mod, you'll probably notice that you'll start drinking ale you've collected, and enjoy that, but then you think '' i just drank 4 ales why is there no visual effect for this?'' and some mods out there will add a drunken stumble and then if you get that ( which is awesome!) you've then got the sad state of having to find non-alcoholic drinks for frequent consumption. Once you've got both those mods and one that adds water bottles to the game you then have glitches and general game incompatibilities and have to keep 3 mods updated ( which may not be kept up to date by the makers) so again the modding community doesn't really solve this (also if you're like me you love to keep your game as mod-free as possible this becomes a total heart-ache) and what it needs is for Bethesda to implement something permanent and proper in Skyrim that tailors to this part of us.

Sleep: I've been awake in game for 40 days, not a single yawn, and i'm not fighting to keep my eyes open, it may of been an amazing 40 days of jaw-dropping-dragon-slaying-damsel-saving but you know, after a week, my screen should occasionally black out, just to let me know, it's time to head to an inn.

but yes, not one mod has nailed this, and there are so many out there trying it'd be awesome if we got a +1 from readers to get Beth to make an attempt at fixing this for us, at least giving us a hunger, thirst and sleep bar to mess with would be a start. :tops:

Not forgetting the huge amount of sales to console gamers, who won't have access to the steam workshop or Nexus, this does need to be in the game, and there is a mass of people out there who would enjoy it :)

I usually know I have a disease when the next person I meet says "you know you don't look well", every time.

The need to eat, drink and sleep where in New Vegas and tbh it detracted from the game, it didn't add to the immersion for me - having to search for food and water as well as a place to sleep was a pain and didn't make me feel I was in such a hurry to go after the people who had killed me.

I think there are even more people who wouldn't enjoy it.

Of course it could be optional.
